  1. I'm looking for a new putter and i like the heel shafted putters. So my question is, what will be the main difference between these three putters (Scotty Del Mar, Method 003, Rife Abaco) feel-wise. I haven't had a chance to put with these and i was wondering if anybody has had any experience with them thanks SP
  2. its not that i purposely do it its just part of my swing
  3. Well, if I'm going to have 4 wedges in my bag i might as well have them be put to good use. Its easier to hit 60 yds with my 85 yd club than 60 yds with my 105 yd club. I'm not here to argue or to look "cool" or tell everybody i hit it longer than i actually do. I wouldn't want to waste my time making up lies that are pointless, or waste your time for that matter, i'm here to get some advice. And due to the fact that i de-loft the club so much its hard for me to even hit a 3-iron so its serving no use in my bag anyways
  4. yeah i just get a crazy amount of shaft tilt at impact and just de-loft the hell out of the club, thats where i get the distance from
  5. i was thinking the 64 would be for an 80-90 yd shot
  6. well im alright with it but i dont know if i could make it much more efficient because i dont have a club at the moment that i can hit 80 yds with a full swing and its a shot that i really need as well as the 120 shot with the courses i'm playing. i was just wondering if anybody would seem to think that the lofts were too high or if there was a better idea in general. thanks
  7. well i have been thinking about moving to 4 wedges and dropping my 3 iron to accommodate for an extra wedge. i have also been hitting my wedges much farther than normal(SW 115, LW 105) so i was thinking about going from a 47* PW to a 52* 58* 64* so i can have them to play 135, 120, 105, 85. what do you guys think about this set up?
  8. Yep they are amazing, i just got them last weekend and switched from AP2's with a project x 5.5 and went with the ZB in the S300's and i have gained atleast 10 yard on every club due to the better shaft(fits me better)
  9. where is there a sale on pentas? how much are they going for?
  10. +1, i think they both had some good breaks throughout the tournament but oosthiezen dominated.
  11. No Taylormade?
  12. Well since you hook your 5 wood, alot of hybrids tend to cause people to hook the ball so maybe you should try a 4 wood
  13. I love going to practice rounds. i love to just watch pros on the range and watch them hit and see what they're working on and any drills they are doing. i figure they're the best people to learn from. but unless your girls are into just watching people hit golf balls or putt for a long time then idk how interested they will be. last time i followed john daly on his practice round for a few holes and that was kind of fun and i got a ball that he was using that he threw into the rough and i later got him to sign it.
  14. Congrats!! i recently did the same thing a few weeks ago, i shot 69 on a par 71, had 7 birdies, two bogeys and one triple.
  15. The place where i get lessons from is an indoor practice facility. you hit into a net but you have a choice of four different cameras to view your swing with as well as sensors that are in the ground to see where your weight is at. the least you should do is get a camera to view your swing, the hard part is to know what to look for.
  16. Congrats man!! I've only had one and it was on a dogleg par 5, cut the corner hit a 3 wood to twenty feet and drained the putt. Can't wait till i get another eagle.
  17. you could try getting fit to a club and shaft combo and then try and find the same combo used on ebay or your local golf store
  18. i think that anytime you can be fitted to clubs you should do it. i switched to my AP2's when i was about a 12 ish handicap and i love them. if you think you can handle a better players club now then you should do it while you are getting fit so you dont have to buy another set of clubs as your ballstriking improves
  19. i used to have a PW GW 56 and 60, but i got new irons so now i have PW 56 and 60 and have added a 3 iron to my bag
  20. i carry both a 3 hybrid and a 3 iron. i hit both pretty well. i hit my 3 hybrid about 200-210 and my 3 iron about 190-200. wanted to replace my 3 iron with a 52* wedge but since my ball striking has greatly improved and my distance control has improved as well with my wedges ive decided to keep the 3 iron. so if your son is a pretty good ball striker, due to how hard a 3 iron is to hit for some people, i would consider getting it for him
  21. most of them are just for aesthetics
  22. i have a pretty steep swing when chipping so i went for 16* of bounce on my 56* to help with not hitting it so fat and on my 60* wedge i went with 4* of bounce so i can comfortably open it up and go right under the ball. lately i have been improving and can hit either one without worrying about hitting it fat. it gives me choices when in bunkers as well, if its a fluffier lie i go with the 56 and if its more firm i go with the 60.
  23. At first i was looking at the first R9, but after hitting my friends i thought that it was too light. my driver has a rather heavier shaft and i've gotten used to it and like that i can feel it throughout my swing. i then looked at the supertri because some kid that i was playing with said that he switched from my exact same driver to the supertri and told me how much more forgiving the supertri is. i was also wondering what are the benefits and drawbacks of having a smaller sized driver over a larger sized one. and same thing for the length, ive read about how the new drivers are over an inch longer from models from previous years
  24. so on friday i finally broke par and shot -1 70 at my home course. my dad promised me when i shot par or better on the big course, he made this promise a few years ago when i was still a beginner, he would buy me a new set of ping irons. i dont need new irons so i was thinking of something else that i could get instead. i am currently trying to decide whether to get a new driver or a rangefinder. my driver is getting rather old, i still like it its just that its not the easiest driver to hit. currently my driver is what is keeping me from consistently shooting par. so i was wondering what are some easier to hit drivers, but still workable. and if you think a rangefinder would be more beneficial to get, what are some rangefinders i should look into. thanks
