  1. I have a 4+ wood in the bag, but can't hit it off the FWY. Putting my 2 hybrid back in next time out.
  2. Go Phil GO!! Looks like Phil is on form again. Tiger looking very rusty and outside the cut.
  3. POW>>>>>>>>>>I'm a record holder. Yep pee. Sorry couldn't help myself...LOL
  4. Hey hey now things are heating up. Just for the record I've never claimed to be one of the long ballers here. I have just defended some .....I'm getting out while I still can!! LOL
  5. Thanks for the education. Still their average has lesser clubs than a driver involved. Also the guy that averages 261 can still bust one out to 290-300. I never said I thought a hacker could average 280. Maybe 270 I could believe. If a guy practices enough with a driver he could become a very good driver and still not break 90. Again just my .02 on the deal.
  6. I have the R7 draws and have hit the regular R7's. Honestly I can't tell the differents. The draws are no more offset the the Regular R7's from what I could tell. My local golf shop was selling the draws for 329$ a year ago and they had the R7's at 399$ so I picked up the draws. I really like mine. Both R7's also have stronger lofts than most other clubs. My 6i is 27* I think. Most are about 30*.
  7. Same here, but it's likely my provider. Charter they suck!
  8. He's a Kid so....he needs some advise. A low HC doesn't always make you smart about golf. Sadly he'll get a hundred different answer's from smart guys like us. LOL.
  9. I've read a lot about touring pro's average driving distance on this thread, but what most are missing is that driving average on tour counts all hole's but par 3's. Many time's they will hit much lesser clubs from the tee to set up their second shot. Maybe a 3I, hybrid or a 3 wood. That lowers their overall driving distance a lot. If you were to average just their driver their average distance would be much higher. Even the so called short hitters, with a few exceptions, averaging just the driver, most would be 290 and over. Take the long hitters and their average would likely push 320. When those long baller's hit the hell out of it they routinely reach 350+. Phil spanked one a while back to 370. I can believe with driver only a high HC'er averaging maybe 270 if he is really good with the driver. Not the 300 some say. Years ago I had a 14 HC but couldn't hit a driver to save my life. So three times a week I hit the range on the way to work and hit 150 balls each day. Did that for 3 months. I finally became a very good driver of the ball, but it came at a cost. My iron play that was pretty good before suffered as I became a better driver. So yes I can see a guy that works with his driver a lot having a pretty good average for a high HC'er. Also there is a lot of BS being thrown around here to. My .02 on all of this anyway.
  10. Mine was checked with a radar unit last year and I was 98-102. I was happy to find that out as I was thinking more like 95.
  11. Ping G-15 has very good ratings and with the Adilia shaft upgrade it should be a great driver. Long, straight and forgiving. I'm no expert, but that's my .02
  12. Yeah I understand were you are coming from. I have the TM R7's and they do have a small bit of offset, but not to the point that you would be hitting everything left as some of the really offset clubs do. Sorry we did get a little off track of what your post was about. Just saw were you added your clubs to your sig. You have some nice stuff. Keep playing and your HC will be dropping in no time. By the way...give the Bridgstone e6 ball a try. They really help straighten out ball flight.
  13. Check out rockbottomgolf. They have some great deals on wedges right now. May have what you need. I saw a Callaway X forged for 49$. They also had Nickent forged wedges for 29$. Nike and others too.
  14. It's sometimes lost on this site, but most people have other interests than just golf. I know a lot of you all golf is your main activity and you put a lot of time and money into it. Me and most folks just play for the friendship and fun. We try to get better the handful of times we get to play a year, but if a club helps...why not. It's easy to loose site that not all people are as in to golf as some of you. That's the same with any activity. I know people that all they do in life is hunt and fish. They sometimes don't get it that I don't want to hunt and fish every time they go. I like throwing a little golf in a few times a year. Just my .02
  15. Nothing is guaranteed in life. There is always risk with reward. To many people play it safe in life...I say live your dream and to hell with the rest.
  16. That's some serous cash for some of the top Caddies. I had no idea they could make that much. How far from the Quad cities are you? The TPC course in IL. the John Deere is played on may be a start.
  17. I snap hook offset clubs something awful. I guess they have there following though. DFB has it right. If it works for you then use them.
  18. All I've been on in Southern IL do allow jeans. We're country around here so it's usually not a big deal. I'm a cargo pants and shorts guy when I'm golfing. Jeans Bind me up. LOL
  19. Good call But, Many fake selling stores are here today gone tomorrow. Also a place selling fake stuff will likely tell you to piss up a rope because there in China. If it really was a legit store you may get somewhere, but I doubt they were legit.
  20. Go to PGAtour.com and see if there is any info on it. An older friend of mine I play with has a son who caddies the PGA and Nationwide tours, but I've never ask how he got started. He has some good stories of who are the A-holes and who are great guys to caddie for though. If I remember right Tim Herron was not one of the good. Good luck!
  21. Well said....You are young now, but someday your body will start to break down. Take care now to prolong your health!!!
  22. You can find Naval jelly at an Auto store. There are other products that work well also that they will have. Just ask and I'm sure they'll have it. Also sense it is fake...He could spray a thin coat of clear urethane on the head leaving the face alone. Could work for the shaft also, but he would have to be handy with such things. I'd fix it myself if I lived near him.
  23. Congrats to you Indianscout...I just posted a bit on how I thought Giga Golf was a top quality Company and got some negative response. Hell with the Nay sayers....I think you did just fine. Had I done more research when I upgraded last year I think I would have went with Giga golf myself. There are some junk clubs out there for sure, but from what I've researched Giga is not one of them. Great Buy!!! Let us know how they play.
  24. I've said it before....It's as fake as a 20$ Rolex. Don't tell your Bud....just tell him you have to clean rust off 300$ putters once in a while. He'll fall for it. LOL On the serious side...let him think what he want's if it serves no good to tell him! P.S. Tell him to get some navy jelly to clean off the rust. The stuff eats rust. Then put a coat of wax on to help protect it.
  25. Agree with Eric....Nickent went out of business a while ago. This site looks to be legit, but is for sure new. I looked all over the net before I bought my 4DX driver for info on Nickent and never came across this site. That was about 2 months ago. I will say I love my driver and it's a shame that they went out of business, they did make good stuff. But yes this may be a new site "not Nickent" that's looking to cash in on the limited availability of their clubs these days. Or it could be, some research might show, that Nickent is trying to fund a comeback. Likely not but.....
