Definitely not a rock. I play them now. Changed over from TPBlack which really spun. E6 doesn't have as much spin but I don't have problems holding greens and spinning them. They're just not quite as hot, spin wise.

I play every week with my wife and she's getting better. I try to coach her as little as possible, but she wasn't doing well for the longest time so I had her cut her swing down to half swings so she could get more consistent and advance the ball on most shots. She's really getting there...she hits the fairway about 75% of the time w/driver which she swings full and putts reasonably well. She's very inconsistent with iron play and her chipping and pitching isn't yet good. But she enjoys the game regardless so she's already doing better than some.

I'd love to hit 20 balls and then on to the first tee w/o breakfast ball, but alas no driving range on my home course. Breakfast ball is widely used. If the first one is good...you play it.

Doesn't anyone still turn in clubs or equipment anymore?

The other side of this equation. I found a wedge at the practice green before a round at my home course recently and when I turned it in before I tee'd off...the course owner showed me 2 barrels full of clubs that have been turned in and never claimed. From this year alone. -
Went through this for about two years when I was getting close to breaking 80 for the first time...Would always choke down the stretch doing exactly what we've all done. "Let's see...if I par the next three holes I'll shoot X". Implemented the strategies outlined above (except I do check score after 9...) and not only did I break 80 I shot 75 and had a realistic chance to shoot par that day. I've bettered that score a few times since then and I actively try not to keep up even with what I'm over/under during a round. The only thing that's important is the next shot.

I have one worthy this week. Playing a par3 and dipped my right shoulder and block/sliced a ball into a line of trees just short and right of the green. Looked for it for a few and the group behind us was coming up so dropped one on a ridge about 30 yds out. Pin was cut about six paces on...I'd been practicing flops so here was the opportunity. Clipped it perfectly...landed on the fringe and rolled straight to the cup and in (for par).

I'm an oddall 2. THIS. What makes it doubly frustrating is it can be a turning point moment in the round. You could be on the green putting for eagle or just off the green with a 15-20 yd up and down for bird. Miss it and you're looking at best at a 5 at worst 7 or 8. Still my weakest part of my game.

Also on my second season with i20's. Sent mine back to PING to have the lie adjusted to black dot from a more upright lie...made all the difference in the world as my swing has flattened a bit. I did also get a set of G20's this winter and put the 4 and 5 iron in the set to make them even easier to hit...working well so far!

1986 - Jackie "Be good.." Jack "It is..." which he said he was actually embarrassed that he made such a bold statement while the ball was in the air. He discussed this on Feherty recently. Phil's 4i, Tiger's chip and Bubba's hook are awfully hard to beat though.

Added a 913 driver 9.5 and also a WINN Jumbo Lite grip for my putter. I did also get a new ProVoto slim line putting system a month ago and that thing is sweet. Can't wait to play...still too cold and wet here.

+1 for Golfshot. Worth the money. They've also regularly added new features over the past few years and I've yet to be charged for an upgrade.

Bought my i-20's from Golfsmith. No issues. Also bought my Cameron and Titleist in person from the Indy store and they were very helpful. The club tech re-gripped my wife's clubs and a putter of mine while we waited.

Much the same as last year. Get better with the 3W off the deck. Really need to get better with the putter. Need to focus on a repeatable stroke and STICK WITH IT! Started experimenting with knockdown shots last year and I see a lot of potential for that...will work on that too. (in 3 months...it's 6 degrees out right now)

changing my 4i and 5i to G20. Already have the 4i and looking for the 5. Everything else will stay the same...except I did buy a new shaft for the driver. Getting my irons bent from white dot to black dot...also need to have my wedges bent too. My swing flattened out a lot last year and white dot isn't working.

I've been intrigued by the idea of going to a wider soled club for my 4i and 5i, I'm going to try it this year. I play i20s and have already purchased a g20 4i and now looking for a 5i. Anybody else tried this? if so, what kind of benefits or drawbacks did you experience. I've hit the 4 a few times at the range and I'm considerably more confidant with it.

My only yearly golf tradition is to watch Caddyshack at the beginning of each season. So I got dat going for me.

nice to see mockery and sarcasm aren't lost on you...oh wait... I do have an answer for dook. UCLA (and Kentucky, and Indiana and UNC) has more national titles. Coach alphabet will never get close enough to John Wooden to even smell his farts. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are. John Wooden sorry...enough off topic from me.

lolz.... I just love seeing jcollins120's reaction on here. pwnd! ftw! Infinity + 1.

duke does blow (non-stop flopping...really?), cameron indoor outhouse is the worst hoop barn in the country, and sneaking onto the golf course is wrong.

stop worrying about "80" If you're figuring out in your mind what you need to do over the last 3,4, 5 holes to break 80...it's anti-productive. As long as you're doing the things everyone is saying in this thread...fairways, no 3putts, no penalty strokes etc...focus on one thing and one thing only. The shot you're about to play. Play one hole at a time, one shot at a time. Stop looking at the scorecard 10 times during the round. I was where many in this thread are...lot's of 81's, 82's...and I stressed myself out by the time I got to the end of the round. Now I check my score at the turn, then I check it again after 18th. Looking at it every other hole isn't going to help me in the least. You know when you're playing well...don't put extra pressure on yourself by doing calculus on the tee when you should be concentrating on splitting the fairway. After adopting this strategy...my next strong round was a 75. That was last year....this year I shot 73 and shot many rounds last year and this year in the 70s. I have my eye on par now. When I get there, it will be a nice surprise.

I'm hitting a low punch with my 4i with pretty good results. I get about 180y and I'm reasonably accurate with it.
