  1. Two birdies in a row on a par 3 and par 5. On the par 3, I was about 3 foot away and 20+ ft away on the par 5.
  2. Here is my data from today's game. Fairways: 7/18 GIR: 7/18 Putts: 3/18 So putting wasn't my strongest but I was pleased with keeping the ball down the fairway. Two 8's killed my scored big time or else I would shot in the 90's. However, I finished strong with 2 birdies on a par 3 with a 4 foot putt and a par 5 getting on 3 with a 20+ foot putt for birdie. Overall, I am very pleased even though I shot terrible.
  3. I have the barbados center shafter. So far so good. cut down to 33in because I stubbed alot of putts from the standard length of 35in.
  4. Today I did notice my shoulders opening too much and resulted to more slicing than fades. 5 of the 18 drives were ded straight or faded a bit. But the biggest thing that resulted to my fades turning into a slice is not transferring my weight forward and more of my weight was on my right leg. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions and I will take this out eventually and take vids.
  5. I dont have any updated vids, but the curve wasn't that drastic to consider it a slice.
  6. Today I shot a 97 and its my 3rd time breaking 100, but I was fighting a fade that wouldn't stop. Only about 4 of my drives stayed in play and the rest faded. The trajectory is awesome, but it slowly fades. My backswing I felt didnt come over the top but somehow I cant stop my fading....Any input on tips to stop or slow down the fading.
  7. Im talking about the caddies on tour. Someone brought this topic up on the course one time and I've always been curious.
  8. I've always wondered if the caddy would beat the golfer on his own game. The Golfer can play very well, but always seem to rely on a caddy for tips or advice on what iron to use or even reading the green which is the most important part of the game. Give me your input and lets see what you all say.
  9. Congrats! I still remember mine last may. It was a 168 par 3. Being that I was new to the game, I used a 5 hybrid 26* and literally skulled it to the pin. Leaving me with only a 8 in putt. LOL. My buddies said if I made that in, they would've quit.
  10. I noticed from all of my previous videos. My wrist tends to "cup" during my backswing which causes my drives to come over the top. So today at the range, I focused alot on preventing my wrist from cupping and tucking my right elbow in causing the club to come inside/out. Wow, the results were amazing, My ball flight would be dead straight and no ballooning. I cant wait to take this practice session to the course and take vids this time.
  11. Shoot a 5 on every hole. You shoot 90.
  12. definitely alot better during my first few rounds of golf. I was hitting about 10 of the 18 with my driver at 80%. My ball flight was consistent dead straight. But now, I'm trying to incorporate my body more than my arms and now im fight a fade that eventually turns to a slice. My average drive is about 250 at 80% and swinging 100% recently got me about 270, but I fight the slice and pull constantly.
  13. The one I go to is not that bad. Tee boxes are just patches of cut lawn grass. Greens are always slow, but its very narrow that prevents you from shaping any shots. So straight as an arrow is the way to go. today I took three balls and practiced my short game on a few holes. 1 of my 3 iron shots were solid, but everything else was either shanked or fat. Ill be posting that vid soon. im sure once you do bite the bullet, you wont regret it. I hoofed it today and my legs are killing me.
  14. Face it bro. You sounded arrogant and no one liked your comments on players playing at public courses. I understand where your coming from when someone takes your ball, but its a game and thats part of it. If it happens more often, it sounds like your a higher handicap than you claim to be.
  15. congrats bro! I just broke 100 sunday. I know the feeling. Keep it up and im sure you will get the same rush like I did more often.
  16. thank god for cheap county courses. I practice most of my short game at a local county course. $9 a round is equivalent to a bucket of balls. So I rather practice at my county course than a range. I know you will break 100 and trust me. You will feel alot of weight off your shoulders when you do.
  17. The funny thing though. During the game, I didnt even think about it. I should've taken a provisional, but I didnt. Im not gonna lose sleep over it.
  18. Ya, but it was established before the game was played we are taking 1 mulli front and back. Sorry I dont play by your rules there guy. lol If the mulli counts as a stroke, I scored a 98. LOL. The mulli wasn't taken on the front but one was taken on the back.
  19. For me, I actually got calmer and more relaxed after playing this game. I dont get as hot about losing a ball or having a bad day. It reminds me that I will never become pro, but I can always get better.
  20. if you could afford playing at $200+ courses, you can afford buying another box when the time is needed. Im not gonna lie, I use to take the ball that I find, but most of the time. the ones I find no one else is around to claim. Now, I just leave it be because I have enough in my bag that I can get through 18 holes without losing all of them. Pete is right, it was a pretty ignorant statement and calling us regular folks idiots reminds me of how much I hate people who take this game too damn serious and think there playing in the PGA Tour. You lose a ball, grab another.
  21. Thanks. I've been actually practicing my short game more and it paid off. My driving hasn't been right since I started practicing to drive with my body rather than my arms. So the slicing started to come back so Im considering going back to it even though I shouldn't. Game management I never thought about but I will take that into consideration more. For me 8 of the 18 is pretty damn good for me. I can live to be a bogey/double bogey player. I know I'm bound to become a 90's play but I'll be happy not shooting 100's as much. But it will take time. Once I shoot in the 90's again you'll know again because I won't shut up about it. Lol.
  22. Also, let me correct my fairway hits. I was also in line for the green but most landed on the rough.
  23. Thanks everyone. It took literally a year to finally break 100. Yes, I took one mulli beccause I went for the green on a 280 yard par 4 hole and I over shot it. It landed on the green and with no bite bounced off the green into a gully no where to be found. I couldve taken a provisional, but the guys I played with ruled only 1 mulligan both front and back.
  24. Well, its not pretty but I finally broke the 100 for a first timer playing only a year. I shot a 97 but it wasn't the prettiest. here are my stats from the game. Fairway- 3 of the 18 (Some had decent lies, but others I had to work my shot around trees) On the green under or on par- 8 of the 18 (Alot of shots were dead straight on the green and one chip shot landed only a foot away from the cup) One putts- 2 of the 18 (most putts missed were for par, but it was mostly bogey golf today) As you can see, the results were not pretty and most were down right ugly.
  25. Spring Meadow Golf Course NJ. 97. Broke 100 for the first time in a year
