  1. Heck ya! Andrew is the man!
  2. the best one around nj is a par 70 course @ $20 person before 9 am with a cart.
  3. This vid is a concern for me continuing on the S&T; method... http://www.golf.com/golf/video/artic...61512,00.html# Im a slicer and I haven't gone far enough on the book to counter his review on the S&T.; Help
  4. Thanks. That's what I look like after a great shot. Lol
  5. thank you...once Im ready, ill probably be looking into pings. What I read on the site is that I can get them customized according to my specs....i dont know how but im sure ill be doing more research...
  6. I wAs kinda skeptical at first but after reading the most recent article on golf digest on this and only a few of my shots were mishits or hooks/slice. I was actually pulling off some nice draws with my shots today. I'm going out to get the book as soon as as I can.
  7. I'm gonna take someones recent advice and play with what I have until I'm ready to upgrade (which is now lol) or until they break. The ping g10 color code? Is that the lie of the club? Trust me I'm no sure I'm not the only one who is dying to upgrade as soon as they get hooked on the game.
  8. im liking all these suggestions but how long did you guys wait till you got your next set of irons?
  9. I wish I had your problem. I rather be bad at a range and do good on the course.
  10. h) golf tees in the washing machine i) score cards all over the house j) the itch to play the next day welcome!
  11. About 182 from the pin. The tee box is dead center of the pic. My cam wasnt the best but I got the best pic that I can get at that moment.
  12. Played at my local county course and shot a healthy 91 for the first time. 42/49.
  13. Congrats on your first eagle! I almost got my first hole in one which resulted to my first birdie for a beginner player. The ball landed just a few inches shy for the hole in one too. I hated to thread jack but again congrats on the eagle. Heres that pic. the ball closest to the pin was mine.
  14. im pretty much on the same boat as the OP. Hybrids have been my savior over a few rounds. Use it to your advantage, but your gonna hear this alot. Your gonna have to learn how to use your other clubs eventually.
  15. Heres the thing fellas. I looked around and also ask many people who I play golf with and many have went to this one instructor. All well recommended. Like I said earlier, this all depends financially. I just got a few bills that came in this week so its questionable. Here in NJ, the cheapest Ive heard for lessons was 40 a half an hour. Thats it. No video analysis or anything you guys previously mentioned. Once I get my lessons going, ill bring this thread back up and let you guys know the results.
  16. Im hoping I learn alot more than I think i know.
  17. Thanks happy. That avatar is the same avatar from other forums I belong. Although the skit fizzled out, the faces will never go away. lol
  18. not yet but being that im only 26, i feel like im forty everyday. lol. Thank you for the kind words. definitely means alot to me. Quick story. I golf with 3 other guys. All in the medical field. Two nurses and a surgical tech. Now, this one guy whos been playing for quite sometime, gets really frustrated when he has a bad game. One day, he shot really bad in the front and back. He starts cursing and yelling at himself about how bad he is doing. The other nurse is like me but more outside the box. He said something that I will never forget. After he saw the melt down, he said, "thats why your a nurse and not a professional golfer". I nearly cried and laughed so hard that my stomach cramped up from the way he said those words. Anyways, those words actually stuck to me and my whole perspective on the game changed from someone who hated this to someone who wants to spread the joy of the game.
  19. oh no, i knew you were. Im just a realistic bastard that i will never be that great at a sport that I was introduced instead of actually wanting to do it. When I was introduced to it, I never turned back. I love this sport. I just wanna enjoy it even more
  20. LOL. I wasnt planning on doing this to become pro. I wanna learn how to properly play the sport instead of just playing the game of golf. I have every intention of learning new things and actually enjoying the sport even more. Ill let you guys know how it goes once I get the ball rolling
  21. Thanks fellas. Im more leaning towards the proper stances and swing plane but im gonna definitely have him see what I do and have him work out the problems of my game.
  22. Finally decided to take lessons this week after I get paid. $100 for an hour includes a video of the whole lesson. Should I tell him everything I need work on before hand and what I need work on or have him analyze everything and let him do his thing when it comes to being a teacher?
  23. i also bought a complete set. Top XL that came with the same number of clubs as you. I learned that using my hybrid definitely has its advantages. Im struggling with my driver but i learned that using my hybrid is as affective if not better than my 3 wood and driver. The only difference is that I noticed when i use my hybrids is during impact, instead of trying to lift the ball in the air with my hybrid. I swing down with the hybrid so my chances of topping my ball. Also, I treat it like an iron and try to take a small divot with my hybrids.
  24. I just got my SV Tour wedge 60 degree 4 bounce from tgw.com for a really good price. Just wanted to know what you all think of the product and who ever has it can share their thoughts on it. I trust everyones opinion more on this site than the reviews from tgw for some strange reason. thanks
  25. I also have a buddy that can make some great contacts with his driver sending his ball ballooning because of his stance and tee height. Adjusting the tee height can help, but it can also cause you to top the ball sending it on a downward smash towards the grass. The ball stance is also important. If your too far from the ball, you can catch it underneath sending the ball ballooning. If your too close you wont get too much air, but the ball will make a straighter, lower trajectory shot towards the target. Not the best pic, but heres a great description on where the ball should be with each club. I hope this helps. Find something that comfortable for you and work with it.
