Do a google search for "wristless riskless" and read the David Leadbetter article from golf digest. I started using this technique a couple of years ago and it improved my game a lot. Worst mistake I see in people with the same problem as you is they decelerate into the ball. They often take way too much backswing and slow down into the ball. Practice taking a much shorter backswing so you have to accelerate into the ball.

Living in the PNW, I will usually change balls as the weather and conditions change. In the firm, fast summer I use the TM Reds and RBZ U, spring and early fall I use the Gamer v2 and fall/winter I use a variety including Wilson Duo, Zip and TF D2 Feels. I will end my second season in a row paying less than $1 per ball for the year.

This is a 16-17 yr old whose main form of "written" communication is likely the form of text messages or other electronic forms. By simplifying things (poor grammar, spelling, punctuation) for talking with friends and family works great, many in his generation use it across the board to their detriment. If you are hoping to get a D1 scholarship, you should assume every school googles you to figure out what type of student/athlete you will be. What do you want them to find? Leave the text talk to other places. And to show that I'm not just ragging on you, it took me a while to post this as my grammar and spelling tend to revert to texting if I'm not careful.

This. For rates that cheap, I would walk anyway. Just recently bought a clicgear and it was well worth the $200. Since getting it in June, I have played 36 holes a day, numerous 27 and even 5 days in a row last weekend without feeling too fatigued. At 44 and after carrying and walking the last few years, it makes a big differences in the way I feel at the end of a round. I'm not a big fan of riding and think they slow things down when not used properly.

I will take the cold over the rain any day. Living in the PNW, usually the mid to upper 30's is the coldest I will end up playing in most years.

Just started playing with some guys at my club: 2 man teams, sableford scoring, $1 each for front, back and total. Would like to start a 12-16 guy league using the same format with a blind draw and bets ranging from $1-5.

Just got a good deal on a used one about a month ago. I had been using an 07 Burner for the last few years. I gave myself a $200 limit and set out to hit a variety of clubs in that range. Was getting it narrowed down and went into a local shop to hit last couple before deciding. They happened to have a used R11s in my price range which hadn't been on my radar since they are twice what I was looking to spend. After hitting it on a monitor with other drivers and my current Burner, I swooped it up and have been happy since. With the off season coming, I'll be messing with the settings to see what I like. Have played a few rounds and notice a positive difference over my last driver.

I walked and carried up until earlier this season. In the spring, I blew out the seam on another carry bag (2nd bag in 2+ years) and decided getting a Clicgear would be cheaper in the long run plus I ain't getting any younger. I feel fresher at the end of a round and have played numerous 27 hole days and a few 36. Also been able to play a lot more consecutive days as the shoulders and back feel much better without the added weight.

I think some of it depends on where you live. Being in Washington state, for almost 6 months a year any decent 2 piece ball will do as it's in the low 50's at best and pretty soft. There are a lot of less than $1 per balls options, but I like TF D2 Feels. I have heard good things about Wilson's offerings at this price level. When warmer temps begin to arrive, I have really come to like TF Gamers over the last couple of years. Picked up 5 dz at $10 per earlier this year which makes it even better since it's a great ball at $20 per dz. When fast and firm conditions finally arrive, I still have a 5 dz stash of TM Reds from the wall mart close out of a few years ago. One thing I noticed 4 years ago when getting back into golf and even more so today, there are a lot of good balls out there without paying a ton. My goal this year was to play all year and average $1 a ball or less.

I joined one of the Ryan Moore courses and pay $50 a month for unlimited twi-light golf. Played 7 rds in Feb., 6 in Mar., and 4 so far in April. There are also plenty of $18-22 twi-light courses in my area to mix it up a little. I plan on easily staying below $20 per round for the season.

IMO, the Gamer v2's can't be beat for what you are looking for. For me, they have good distance and nice feel with the short game. I have played the NXT a few times and don't think it's 3 times the ball for 3 times the price. Since Gamers can be had for $10, not sure why anyone would not at least try them out.

Got out today in sunny and 55 so you can't beat that for February 3. Got paired up with 3 other guys who had recently purchased memberships also. We teed off at 12:05 and were done by 4:20. The course is pretty dry with nice greens that should be real fast by summer. These greens will definitely take some getting use to as there is not a flat one on the course.

I signed up for a Club membership at one of the courses, at $50 per month it includes unlimited twilight golf plus other discounts. When I was signing up, another guy was getting the $100 per month membership and our forms went on top of 8-10 others from the day. This courses was private up until Ryan's group bought it last December. It was down to 240 members who all voted for the sale. I would guess most if not all of them got in on the $100 per month membership. I'm only locked in for a year and am hoping to get a country club quality course for under $20 per round. Getting my first 2 rounds in on Friday and Saturday.

I went to Oakbrook today to talk with someone about the memberships and ended up talking with Ryan's dad. The high end memberships allow 14 day advance tee times while the lower one allows 7 days. They'll fill in other tee times with non-members. I played the course for the first time today and will be signing up for the unlimited twilight membership. Their memberships seem like great deals and it sounds like there are plans to add other courses in the future.

In the winter it is usually 13, but the rest of the year 14. I carry almost every round I play and think I rode maybe twice all of last year. I'm coming up on 44 and will continue until my game suffers and then will go to a nice push cart.

You want even cheaper, TF D2 Feel at $15 for 15 balls. Love this ball in the winter. Greens in the PNW are quite soft for 4-6 months of the year and these balls hold very easily. There are plenty of good 2 piece balls out there for winter time play.

If you want to save a little money, look at the Adams a4r for $200. They come with a 4h and are suppose to by pretty forgiving.

I know it may not be much of a challenge for some, but it could be for other's. I just think there are a lot of great deals out there especially for quality non-tour level balls, that paying $3-4 per ball is crazy IMO.

With the new year approaching, how many people think they can play the entire year averaging less than $1 per ball? There seems to be tons of good deals on quality new balls not to mention the lost ball market. I'll stat the year with the last 6 TF D2 Feels I got 2 for 1 a couple years ago at .57 per ball. If those don't make it until spring, got 2 boxes at Dicks for .70 per ball. Spring and most of the summer will be 2 for 1 Gamer v2 at .75. If a tour level ball is needed, I just got some cally i(s) for Xmas and a variety of other quality finds to keep from buying any. The end of the year would return to the D2's until season is over. Would guess I'm not the only frugal golfer out there.

Either the Ci9's for a little over $200 or the Adams A4r for right at $200. Thats only half your limit so plenty left over for wedges or whatever other clubs you may need.

I'm also in the PNW and go with cheaper 2 piece balls in the winter. Been playing below 50* with soft conditions for a while. I really like the D2 Feels but also will keep any good balls I find during the year. Bought 2 boxes of Feels 2 years ago and between them and found balls I haven't had to buy anymore winter balls. With your swing speed, I wonder if the balls you listed will feel too "mushy" since they are around 70-80 compression.

For me it has been yoga, daily use of an exercise ball and walking that has been most helpful in keeping my back and overall body in shape.

I'll be 44 in April and three years ago I was up to 190lbs and coming off a lower back injury. I knew I needed to do something so I started yoga 3-4 days a week, free weights, resistance bands and an exercise ball. I'm am now 155 lbs with very little fat and in much better shape. I do everything at home as I never liked the whole gym thing. Pretty easy to roll around on the ball with either the weights or bands for :30-45 minutes every night.

To stay at your requested $15, I would to with the TF D2 Feel and you'll get 15 balls instead of 12. I use this ball all winter and for the money you can't go wrong. Also in that range, I tried a noodle + long and soft that seemed like a decent ball.

First tried the v2 out a year ago when I got one of the 15 packs for $20 and really liked it a lot. After the first of the year, a local range had a 2 for 1 sale and I got 2 dz for $18. Went into a sports authority yesterday and they had some of the 15 td packs on clearance for $15 so picked one up. Then tonight, went into a local shop ( puetz golf for those in Washington) and they were clearing out the v2 for $9.99. Guy working there said that was the price until they were gone. He said a new ball was coming out, guessing it's the one in the black box. At $20 a dz, I decided this would be the ball I played for most of the season. For the price I paid for the last 4 dz its a no brainer. I may even sell off some the TM Reds I have squirreled away.
