  1. Macintyre, he played awesome . It was shall we say breezy today. You can’t complain when one guy birdies the last to take the lead and the next guy hits two pure shots to birdie the last two to win. I hope the weathers better next week though
  2. I don’t see how it was Rory’s to lose when he was never actually in sole lead. Your turning point feels about right, that and all the missed birdie putts and a failure to get up and down after a lucky drop from the plugged ball.
  3. The list of things I would not sell in exchange for being able to hit driver like Rory is very, VERY short. Putting not so much. Wyndham Clark played real solid tee to green and his chipping and lag putting were superb yesterday. He deserved to win for sure. I can’t wait for The Open next month ( and I’ll be there on the Sunday) cmon Rory.
  4. Why do grown adults line up with the kids to bump fists with players ffs.
  5. Great up and down from Clark
  6. Goddammit Rickie! It s just about a two horse race. Clark has played so well so far…
  7. He’s the same height as me…….but a bit slimmer.
  8. The pace of play is a tad slow……Rickie stood for 1/4 hour on the 4th tee before missing the green . That cannot help Also would there be a more popular winner than Fowler?? Especially when I’ve got a 10 spot on him!
  9. Has anyone on here played LACC? The course looks great. Apparently it’s very much an old school Country club?
  10. I believe this should answer fully…..
  11. Voldemort?? Well now I have egg on my face, late to the party again
  12. So Bloomberg is reporting that the US DoJ is gonna investigate the merger re anti trust laws. Although I seem to remember them being involved months ago anyway, so it is probably to be expected
  13. Do Monahan, and Pelly have the authority on their respective tours to make this deal. Do the players have to ratify it? Rory and JT both stuck with the PGA tour and turned down huge amounts of money. Neither pled poverty. Rory very publicly turned down hundreds of millions of dollars because he didn’t agree with Liv golf’s morals and structure. He went out to bat for the PGA tour management and they have shafted him in a most underhand way.
  14. It’s lot cheaper to buy up a few administrators than a whole raft of talent. A smart move by the Saudis. Can or will the players sack JM, and kill the deal. I expect the money will be too much to turn down, but not necessarily the sort of figures that Phil and others got.
  15. Well Rory has been hung out to dry. I just hope that Greg Norman doesn’t have much influence in the new structure
  16. I realise that you are mainly from North America, so for balance I have selected a Rest of the World Mount Rushmore (ROTWMR) Don Bradman(cricket) Eddie Merckx (cycling) Diego Maradona (football) Lewis Hamilton (F1). Also a female Mount Rushmore. Annika Sorenstam (golf) Serena Williams ( tennis) Jacqui Joyner Kersie (athletics) Simone Biles (gymnastics)

  18. Right, just finished work and ready to watch for a few hours!
  19. I like not the smugness. It’s 4C here today ( about 40 degrees in old money). Also a fairly decent amount of hail and rain.
  20. In response to playing partner’s “wrong club” ”right club, wrong player”
  21. I think a little bit of Tiger would have secretly been relieved if he had missed the cut. He looked like he was running on fumes just finishing R2.
  22. Dream job!
  23. I am totally against bifurcation. The handicap system and different tees is enough to ensure golfers of even vastly different levels can have a meaningful game. I’ve played golf against and with beginners, high handicappers, mid caps, club pros, elite amateurs and tour pros. IMO the horse has already bolted, the equipment has changed, players are faster and the balance of the game is titled more towards speed ( it always probably was, but with the rise of big data it is much more obvious than the past). This discussion is 30years in the making. It’s waay too late now. Either roll back the ball speed for all or just freeze max speeds where we are.
