I'm playing the SuperFast 9.5* stiff and hitting it pretty good. I might have a over-sized grip put on it since my old driver had one on it. I don't have big hands but it seems to give me more feel and control when I swing.

I took eight years off after having two back surgeries in 2001. I've been back playing about three years and shoot around 80 most rounds. My problem is when hunting season starts here in Alabama, I put the clubs up for a few months.

I started playing less forgiving irons two weeks ago. I'm not playing as good as I did with my AP1s but I'm learning to hit the 690.CBs better every round.

I used to play with a guy who got robbed on a golf course in Birmingham, Alabama. Some young boys jumped the fence and pulled a pistol on him and his partner. They both lost their wallets. After that he always carried a pistol in his golf bag. Any of you guys ever felt the need to carry a pistol to a golf course?

My Titleist CB.690s came with a 3 iron but I haven't even put it in my bag. I starting using a Ping 21* hybrid when I bought my AP1s (4-GW) three years ago. The 21* hybrid is good for a 200 yard draw when I hit it. I need to take the 3 iron with me tomorrow and put it in play.

I don't like it when someone hits into you. I hit into some guys on a par-5 last month. I put my ball on the tee and was talking to my partner then just walked up to my ball and hit it flush and sent it about 290 yards. I just lost my train of thought i guess. My partner said "YOU JUST HIT INTO THOSY GUYS!!" I'm 50 years old and they were in their 30s so I was hoping I wasn't going to get a beat down. I drove straight to them and apologized.

Stock/Stiff

Vokey 52* and 56*.

My Titleist CB.690 PW is 48* so I have a Vokey 52* and 56* in my bag. I also have a Vokey 48* to replace the CB.690 PW if I decide to swap them. I have a set of Cleveland CG14 wedges but I like the Vokeys a little better. I got suckered in to buying a Peltz 56* too! It's fun trying to buy a better game!

I just swapped my Cleveland CG14 56* 14 bounce for a Vokey 56* 8 bounce. The 8 bounce works better for me.

I use a Auburn Tigers ball mark. All of my Alabama friends hate it! My nephew signed to play football for Ole Miss so I need to get a Ole Miss marker.

We have about six guys that play together and one guy will pad his score every round by about 5 strokes. We don't care because we are used to it. The only time it bothers me is when he pads his score and goes back and tells people that be beat my a$$.

I like to see the pros make bogey and double bogey. It make me feel better about my bad holes even though I know they play by "different rules" than most of us.

I like playing a beautiful course and just looking around and taking it all in. I played the Guntersville State Park course here in Alabama yesterday. It just opened four weeks ago after being shut down for over a year for renovations. It was tournament ready!

I took my AP1s out of my bag and put a set of forged 690.CBs in. I got them from a guy to took really good care of them for $200. I will play my first round with them tomorrow so I hope I can hit them pure. I will focus more on the back of the ball and try to make good contact. Any advice before I play them for the first time?

I played a Titleist NXT today and they are good balls, lots of distance and feel. Give it a try.

I think the ProLaunch red shaft is too stiff for me. I have to work to keep the ball in the fairway, I just cant swing with a relaxed swing because I'm always trying to place the ball instead of hitting a smooth relaxed swing. I think it's time for a change.

I've been hitting a Taylor Made 07 Burner with a Pro launch red x shaft for about two years. I'm going to buy a newer driver in the near future so this is what I'm looking at. Ping G15 driver - $299 TaylorMade Burner Superfast driver - $249 TaylorMade R9 460 driver - $299 Which one would be the easiest to hit and still be able to work the ball some?

I have four pair of golf shoes. Two pair of Callaways a pair of Foot Joys and a pair of Adidas. The Adidas 360/4.0s are the best wearing shoes I've found.

I have CG 14s and Vokeys. I like the looks of the new groovs on the CG15s so I might have to give them a try.

I keep mine in my garage. I have a sink in my garage so I give them a bath after every round. They love me for it!

I bought my SC Kombi to impress my friends. I've never sank a putt with it but I look good missing!
