  1. Day 13 I hit balls into the net with my 5i, 9i and 5w. I swung once with a club and then rotated to the next.
  2. Day 12 Putting indoors to a target 3' away. I worked on stance, alignment and the takeaway. I also eliminated the finger down the shaft at the start of this year after reading through the thread below. It was uncomfortable at first, but the most noticeable difference in putting has been lag putts 20'+ are consistently closer and reducing 3 putts.
  3. Day 11 Iron swings into the net with a 6i and PW. I focused on keeping my arms in close to my body on the downswing.
  4. 44 on the front 9 at Baker golf course in Kewanee, IL. The temp was in the 70s and a really nice day to play.
  5. Day 9 More iron practice today with full swings into the net. I was hitting the ball a little better today.
  6. Day 7 A continuation of practicing iron shots with full swings into the net with a 9i,7i and 6i. I was trying to strike the ball solid, but am not making good progress. I'm going to make a video when the weather gets better this week and post in the my swing section.
  7. Oops, I numbered my last entry with the wrong day. Fixed in the quote above. Day 7 A continuation of yesterday outside with a 7i. I worked on opening up my hips and the correct movements to compress the ball. It started raining and I had to go inside after 10 minutes.
  8. Day 5 Dry swings and mirror work with a focus on iron downswings. I'm not hitting my irons very consistently when playing.
  9. I shot a 46 on the front 9 of my home course. My driver contact is improving, but I still need to hit more fairways 2/9. I also need to work on pitching/chipping around the green.
  10. Day 4 Full swing iron practice hitting into a net: 3i,5i,6i,SW
  11. Day 4 Worked on alignment and mirror work focusing on the backswing.
  12. Day 3 Indoor putting on the carpet to a target 5 feet away.
  13. I found a GG Live set and bought it for $15. Hopefully I'll get my money's worth with it this year.
  14. Day 2 Practiced some more pitching with a PW and focused on the downswing. Full swings into the net using the clubs I typically use on the first 3 holes of my home course- driver, PW, 6i and 4i.
  15. I'm going to jump back into this challenge now that I'm playing regularly again. Day 1 10 yard pitches with my SW to a target.
  16. I have the same question. I planned on purchasing GameGolf Live this year, but I'm not sure if I should at this point? I just read through quite a few recent (May-June 2020), terrible reviews on Amazon. I would like to hear some opinions on if I should proceed with getting GameGolf or some other recommendations for golf analyzers.
  17. The no sevens challenge and breaking 90.
  18. I do the same. My friend who I play with on a regular basis obsesses over his score on each hole, but it doesn't seem to affect his game.
  19. Consistency is definitely key here. I'm in for the no sevens challenge this season on my way to breaking 90.
  20. My 2nd time out this year and I shot a 53 on the front 9 at my home course.
  21. I'm going to Myrtle Beach for the 1st time at the end of August. I would love to hear any recommendations for good value and must play courses.
  22. I have a 46 degree PW and a 55 degree SW. I plan on adding a gap wedge next year.
  23. I play the ball as it lies. I move the ball around a lot at the range to practice hitting under different conditions. I like the big R avatar. When people see the Big R they know it's RetiredOldMan!
