  1. 1. Putter 2. 56* wedge 3. 8 iron 4. 3 wood
  2. I played yesterday and shot a 97 with only 30 putts. The course par is 72 and after my course handicap was figured in my score was a 71. My chipping and putting were right on. My downfall was how many penalty strokes from hitting my tee shots OB. I just blew up with my tee shots on 6 holes. That round should have been in the 80's dammit. The best thing is I learned from that round and today shold be a better day.
  3. I love playing early. The wet grass. The cool morning and no crowd. I just warm up good and putt. I had a 6:30am tee time this morning.
  4. We were told the Chandler store would be closed in October. I do not know the timetable for the Tucson Store.
  5. I use an Odyssey Sabertooth at 33" with an oversize grip. I like the balance and the grip keeps me from getting wristy.
  6. I am the proud father of a brand new bouncing baby PING G10 4iron.
  7. Congrats on the finding of your sticks.
  8. I started doing a slight forward press with my irons and, dam. I am getting more consistent ball flight, better contact, and the added distance is just a bonus.
  9. The 2 stores in Arizona are also closing. I think that sucks. I have noticed though, they seemed to lose some of the better people in the store since Dick's took over. Well it's a good thing we still have a PGA Tour Superstore and Golfsmith in Arizona.
  10. Congrats!! I got my G10's used also at Golfsmith. $400 2 years ago. One big benefit of living in the metro Phoenix area, is I had them re-gripped, reset the lie's and had them back the next day from the Ping factory here in Phoenix. Their customer service is second to none.
  11. I always use a tee on the par 3's.
  12. These are the only balls I play. To me, they are a good all around ball at a decent price. These balls really do seem to straighten out ball flight. They are not going to cure a 50 yrd slice, but they do help. The E6 and E6+ are basicly the same ball with just different packaging. I do not have a low HC, but I try to play the same ball all the time so I can be consistant. It also let's me get a good handle on distance for each club. IMO you won't be disappointed by playing the E6 balls.
  13. *leave a putt short* "Why don't you put your purse down and hit it next time?" *General purpose Trash talk* "Dude, Don't hit that duck" During your back swing on a par 3 with a lot of water. "Don't sweat it, it's only a 6 foot put. You can 3 put that no problem"
  14. I just the picture is cool.
  15. Love my G10. I tried the G & I 15's, but I hit the 10 better. It's forgiving and has a solid sound to it. Mine is 9* with a regular flex shaft.
  16. My buddy who uses a Taylor Made just won a Jon Daly driver in a tournament we played. After we oooed and awwed he wished he had won THE HAMMER instead.;)
  17. The driver you should buy is the one YOU hit the best. I use a PING driver, my friends use Taylor Made. Hell, if you can hit a $30 driver from Wal-Mart and it works for you, Who am I to judge?
  18. I wear it the whole time I am playing. I am comfortable putting with a glove on and just don't bother taking it off.
  19. I had a great day on the course today. I shot a 49 on the front 9 and then spanked it with a 39 on the back nine for an 88. I know, breaking 90 might not seem that big of a deal to some, but to me... WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't have any penalty strokes but my putting was killing me. I had 37 putts. The greens were punched and sanded. Today left me with the feeling that I am going in the right direction and I feel that I can improve at a better pace. The way I feel now, is why I play this game
  20. About an inch in front of the ball. Made the fat shots almost totally disappear.
  21. I bring them in the house after every round. I don't want to leave them in the car to bake in AZ. It gets a little hot here.
  22. Here's all the other kids in our family...
  23. Sky marks are not good. My driver is clean, but I do have a friend who's TaylorMade Burner looks like it has been through a war.
  24. My #1 right now is my 50* wedge. It is dialed in perfect for 100-110 yds. #2 would be my 56* wedge. I have been chipping really well with it lately ;)

    Demo Days?

Don't be shy about it, you will be on the range most likely. Demo days give you a chance to hit different clubs outside instead of in a simulator. Don't worry how you might hit the ball or things like that. You will find out quickly, that there are people out there that are way worse than you think you are. LOL Just go out and enjoy yourself.
