  1. I shot 90, It was the best round I have played with the worst putting I could imagine. 90 with 41 puts ouch. What sucks is I could have broken 90 for the first time if I would have putted like I usually do. LOL
  2. 2*3/4" Red tee's. If the tee's are not red, I don't feel comfortable.
  3. I nailed a goose right in the side with my driver. I hit a wicked worm burner. That goose didnt even honk, it just walked away pissed off. LOL
  4. You can use them to help you line up your putts or on the tee. Or you can put your own line on the ball.
  5. Congrats!! I just have a question for some of the posters on this thread. How can you have a 20, 22, etc. handicap and never break 100?
  6. A friend and I played two 18 hole rounds and one 9 hole round today. You cant beat unlimited golf for $29. 7am until 4ish. First round played well, second round dropped a few shots and third round got it back together. I can't wait for another day off from work
  7. I want to see Phil win. I wouldn't mind seeing Kenny Perry make up for last year.
  8. I have been using NRange on my Blackberry. It doesn't drain my battery and I can play 18 holes no sweat. I tried Golf Logix, but the trial was only for 1 week. NRange is 30 days. NRange is also $29 or $39 a year or $85 for lifetime membership. I Still haven't decided which one I like more.
  9. PGA Superstore & Golf Galaxy mainly. Sometimes Golfsmith.
  10. It is and isn't what you think. There are a few dumb a$$'s but the crowd knows good golf. They booed Ryan Palmer or D.J Trahan (I don't remember) yesterday for hitting it in the bunker and then cheered for him when he hit a great shot out of it. He also invited the group giving him a hard time to try and do it better and he got another big cheer. They even boo the kids carrying the scoring sign if they don't spin it lol. I wouldn't want to see that on every hole, but it is fun for what it is. It's kind of cool how it goes from football stadium load to dead quiet when they are teeing off.
  11. I would suggest a fitting and have your swing looked at. As for the lessons, they would help a lot. Need to just find someone who will work with what you have for a swing and not try to totally change how you swing. I went through the same discussion with my self about a draw driver. I chose the regular driver and worked on my swing.
  12. I am Phil fan. I like the way he is with the fans. I respect Tiger for how well he can play but, I don't like his attitude. IMO Phil and Tiger are like the Arnold and Jack of the past. But Arnold, Jack and Phil are in a totally different league when it comes to respecting the game and it's fans.
  13. I have returned several clubs as well as a cell phone I found next to a cart path once.
  14. Done, I think I might just camp out on 16 one of the days to see if I can watch in person those shoes becoming mine ;)
  15. A red line though the word "GOLF" below Bridgestone.
  16. Learning to forget your last shot was hard for me at first. Once you just accept the fact that your last shot doesn't matter, only what shot you need to make next does. You will improve( well, that's what worked for me). And don't worry about what others might think of how good or bad you play. Play the game against yourself and not the people you are playing with. Also, play from the tee's that suit YOUR game and not who you might be playing with.
  17. I have up to PW. I use Ping tour wedges after that. You can get a better loft set up by getting your wedges separate.
  18. I think using just 1 kind of ball is important. I do not have a low handicap, but using the same ball helps take other variables out of my putting and distance issues. You get used to how far you hit each club and not how far you hit this ball compared to that ball. It helps build your confidence. I don't think it matters what ball you decide to play as long as it is the same one. Buy what you can afford and then start looking at other balls when you don't lose anymore. I used to play those Nike balls that are 2dz for $19.00 and now I use E6+ and love them.
  19. When I was on the quest for my driver, I tried a draw driver to help with my slice. After testing it out on the range and thinking about it later. I chose to get a regular driver. I didn't want the club making up for my swing flaws. I am glad I went that route. I play with fitted clubs and have been lowering my handicap slowly. I have good equipment. That way I know it's the Indian and NOT the arrow ;) no excuses lol
  20. Yes, I have been fit and yes it made a difference. I am average height at 5'-10" but my lie angle is 3* flat. With a standard set I do not hit the ball as consistently as with the fitted clubs. I do think a standard set if fine for a beginner, but when you are ready to get serious, get fit.
  21. The static fitting for me was orange dot with a standard "white" grip. I bought a set of used G-10's with Orange dots. After playing with them, I went to ping to get fitted and my lie got flatter to gold dot and I use just a slightly bigger grip. The static gets you close. You don't want to buy a 3* upright and try to bend it to 3* flat. That's a long way.
  22. Go to the PING website. They have an online fitting that will get you close. You will find the color chart for the lie angle as well as grip size.
  23. I played with a boxed set until I was fully hooked on the "crack" known as golf . Then I got fitted and built my current bag set up. This way I figure, "it's not the clubs, it's me". and I cant blame the things I need to work on on the clubs.
  24. Naa,It's from the Odyessy ads. Check them out on the Odyssey web site. http://www.odysseygolf.com/Global/en...seyMantra.html
