  1. It's a hole out from the tee, not a hole in one... Why is that so hard to understand?
  2. I actually just switched from the R11 to the RBZ Tour and love it. It's a good bit longer and for me has been a great alternative to driver on shorter par 4's because it's pretty long and still easy to hit straight. Hope this helps.
  3. Luke Donald, -14 2nd: Phil Mickelson, -14 3rd: Tiger Woods, -14
  4. That's pretty elitist isnt it? Is Furyk's swing wrong because he takes it back different? No because his impact position is still very good. They are different ways to swing and putt and some work for some and others work for other people.
  5. Last summer I had a round with 5 birdies on the front 9 and shot -3, then shot 8 over on the back...
  6. Thanks guys i'll check those out
  7. I am currently using a TaylorMade Superlaunch 21 degree hybrid with the stock stiff shaft but I tend to hit it too high and hook it. My question is, are there any hybrids with a heavier stock shaft or are there any shafts i could get and put my current hybrid to straighten and lower the ball flight? Thanks in advance
  8. The callaway x forged mentioned above are only offered in extra stiff on rockbottomgolf.com. I was also interested but that was a deal breaker. If youre swing is fast enough though, go for it
  9. I had 3 in a row on 7,8,9 at my home course when i shot my first 9 under par. -3 with 5 birdies
  10. Went out to the course today and shot a 3-under 34 (par 37). My first time under par for nine. Went par-birdie-birdie-bogey-par-bogey-birdie-birdie-birdie! Unfortunately the back nine was an 8-over 43 (par 35) with 3 doubles for a 77.
  11. I think my low is 29. For me low 30's is a solid putting day.
  12. There are a lot of threads here about blades vs cavity backs, which blades are most forgiving, etc. Just wondering how many people here actually play blades? I'm currently playing forged cavity backs and I like the balance of feel and forgiveness of them.
  13. I've been playing well recently but in the last couple of days I've started to fade/slice most of my shots. I realized on the course today that I'm coming over the top to cause this. Any tips on how to fix this? Any drills? Thanks
  14. 76 today. Best score so far! Even 37 front, +4 39 back
  15. As of now, I have no specific preshot routine but I feel like it would help my consistency. Just wondering what everyone does for their preshot routine and if you feel like it helps. Thanks
  16. I'm looking into getting an Odyssey White Hot Tour #2 center shafted but i've never had one either. Good question.
  17. Find a course where you can get a "range plan" or something similar. You just pay a set amount per year for range balls.
  18. These would all be very good choices. They're easy to hit and get the ball way up in the air.
  19. I would like to play with Phil, he just seems like a really good guy and fun to play with. And he hits the ball a mile, that would be fun to see first-hand.
  20. If you don't post your high rounds your handicap cannot go up. That's not how it's supposed to work. If your playing bad, your handicap should go up, if your playing well, it will go down. Post all your scores.
  21. My friend shot 55 front/36 back last summer On back to back days at the same course someone on my high school golf team shot 64/36 I'm not sure what my biggest is.
  22. lofts: 3-21 4-24 5-27 6-30 7-34 8-38 9-42 pw-46
  23. Ive been looking for a new set of irons and I was at golf galaxy yesterday. In the used section they had a set of forged cb's. It was the right flex and length and they felt great. The biggest thing was the price is right, $225 for 3-pw. Any input on these irons? And should I pull the trigger and get them?
  24. 145 left to the pin, choke up 3/4 7 iron and it goes in! first eagle for me!
  25. Go hokies. They should have a great offense this year.
