Pawley's Plantation or Founders Club in MB?
JUDGE SMAILS replied to JUDGE SMAILS's topic in Golf Courses and Architecture
Prince and Sabram thanks for your thoughts, we have played TB and our group don't care for it that much. PP back 9 seems cool and hard fast greens we love so it will be a tough choice. Thanks! -
How long to keep a driver?
JUDGE SMAILS replied to Fishinjdb's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I am not a long hitter, so I'm always lookin for the right driver ( I have 3 now ), but I play with 2 guys (1 is 32 the other is 57) They are a 1 hdcp and 3 hdcp and they both hit it 300 yds. Both ther drivers are 12-15 yrs old, with that being said, i've told myself it's more in the swing, club head speed and talent than the clubs. they can also use any ball out there and score just as well, there just good players. Every time somebody shows up with new equipment they just laugh and say spent your $ on lessons. -
Moorland is the best course @ Legends, worth playing. Preswick is on our list this year for the first time, heard it was good and its close to the airport, so thats our last round then straight to the airport.
-
I was ther last July and will be there again this july, if I had to pick 2 more courses to round out the trip it would be The Dunes and TPC Myrtle. Trust me you WON'T be disappointed. I could go on and on about the courses down there, but from what you said, these should be your choices.

Just booked myrtle beach
JUDGE SMAILS replied to JUDGE SMAILS's topic in Golf Courses and Architecture
Calvie, golf and the townhouse is around $850 which i think is a steal considering the courses we play, but we go in the summer which is cheaper. if u don't mind playin in 90 deg. weather that is the best bang for your buck. -
This is all good info, i'm 36 now and saving my money for my 40th birthday present, a trip to Pebble Beach. I can't wait to get there, how much do you guys think i need? i also want to play Spyglass when i'm there and i don't want to be tight, i really want to enjoy myself without the worry of money. THANKS for your help

As we all are, i'm looking for faster clubhead speed for longer drives. My father in law has one but he's a righty and i've only swung it to losin up. My question is, is this a good tool for improving my drives? What drills can you do with the power hitter? Sorry if this was already a thread on here, i just haven't seen it.
-
All great tips, i use them all. i also choke down with my hands and weight forward and my feet closer together.
-
I play a 13* cleveland 230-235yds max, and i play a 16* taylor made rescue 220-230yds max. I hit them both great from the deck or on a tee, i just stay low longer on my take away, that keeps me from getting steep.

[QUOTE= It also seems like pros don't take much of a practice swing on their other shots.[/QUOTE] Most of ther practice swings are before the camera is on them.

Large mirror for observing swing?
JUDGE SMAILS replied to kleraudio's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
The "FREE" section on craigslist.com, serch mirrors, alot of people just want them out of their house. I've seen sliding mirror doors, full walls of mirror and even gyms and gymnastics or dance studios getting rid of them. You just got to pick them up. hope this helps -
Reading the Greens when Putting
JUDGE SMAILS replied to Golf_Gal's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
ALWAYS look at the putt from both sides of the ball, it's amazing the difference you will see in the line. I do it while others are putting so i'm ready when it's my turn.
