  1. I usually only use a third to half of my range balls for warmup. I keep them for working on stuff after my round...usually a nasty driver slice or hosel rockets on chip shots.
  2. Part 3 is now up. The link is in my sig. The plan was to play golf here in the next few days and put up a review, but I have 8-12" of snow on the ground. In Dallas.
  3. This is a frivolous lawsuit and should never even have been allowed. She is basically suing him because he can't perform his swing like a robot. And that the failure to warn part is perhaps the most troubling. We don't know the circumstances, but if he didn't know it COULD hit someone and therefore didn't yell that part would have been allowed too! The worst part of this is there is a chance there is a real good/bad lawyer and/or a bad jury that will side with the woman. Even if he wins, he will probably have to pay lawyer fees, so even if he wins he loses.
  4. I'm glad I don't support Liverpool. I've watched Hicks destroy the Rangers and Stars. I don't know if I could handle the hat trick. The good news is he is selling the Rangers and the Stars are for sale! Both are being sold because he has to in order to pay creditors. If I were Liverpool I would be hoping there is no chance of going into administration.
  5. Rafa + Tom HIcks = Fail
  6. I have posted the second part of my fitting story with the third installment to come soon. I hope you enjoy the read.
  7. David and I both live in the Dallas area. We have a sports radio station with a host that is big into cycling. There have been many an interview with him that talks about his fantastic bike crashes...so that's why I thought it was so funny.
  8. I have one in a 9.5 stiff flex. I hit it much better than my previous driver, FT-1, but still struggle with it. As my signature states, I have a Wishon custom fitted driver coming and this one will leave the bag. I don't see myself ever buying another club that is not custom fit for me. When in the hitting bay the launch numbers were great for me. But on the course I have not been able to replicate the swing. If I had a consistent swing I would like the driver much more. I have a typical SS of 97 or so. The numbers on this club were 12.5-13* LA, 128-130 ball speed, and 2500-2800 rpm. The sim said it would carry about 225-230 with a 240-245 total.
  9. The balls are light and will compress no matter how badly you hit them. They are limited flight in the area of a 100 yard shot will about about 30 yards. They are supposed to give an accurate trajectory despite the limited flight, and from my use I would tend to agree. They will eventually wear out, but it will take a long time. I would get some as I think you will like the results, and it costs about one bucket of ball to find out.
  10. This is a better response than what I had been contemplating.
  11. I fully agree with you, but the way it came across was rash. It seemed you were belittling OEMs and really pushing yourself. Perhaps it is just there is no inflection in text, but that's how it read. JMHO
  12. I agree with you, but most people don't look at whether the decision was right, but the result of the decision. Since 3W was a stretch, if he would have pulled our driver and hit it off the deck, ricochet off the stands, and rolled it to 2 feet, everyone would be marveling at the skill and daring...but it would have been the exact wrong decision. He made the right decision and was punished for it....that's sports, er, life.
  13. I agree with both of you, though I haven't heard of SMT or Bang.
  14. He shot a 70 today that could have easily been 67 if some of those putts that stayed on the lip would have just dropped.
  15. 5 fantastic points. I have really enjoyed the Euro tour for the last year or so. I love soccer, but hate listening to the American commentators. They talk too much. The English guys have much more knowledge and allow the game to flow. They don't force it. The same is true with golf.
  16. I'm singleing you out, but your's is the latest post. Had the USGA approved the conforming wedges that he and Callaway submitted I do not think he would be using these. But since legal grooves were not allowed he is taking the loophole. BTW, where's the :beating a dead horse: smiley?
  17. I personally like synthetic materials, or at least 40% synthetic in my golf clothes. It dries quicker, Keeps you cooler in summer; warmer in winter. I can do cotton in summer, but wouldn't in winter. If it gets cold and you get wet you freeze.
  18. I think this is the best place for this, so I am sorry if it is not. I have recently begun a new golf blog as a result of me deciding to get serious about golf and also my recent fitting experience. I was going to make a blog post on The Sand Trap, but it was too long. It should also show up in my profile, but here is the URL: http://web.me.com/mbkeller/My_Life_a...r/Welcome.html The first post is about how I decided to get fit and then by who. The second will be about the fitting itself, and the third about the assembly of my new sticks. I welcome any feedback, comments, and/or gripes.
  19. Those were my thoughts....
  20. Isn't this kinda the same as MOI matching?
  21. I thought of the television series aspect and then had to wonder if he and TGC would stoop that low. I hope it was just emotions speaking and not some PR stunt.
  22. I'm sorry you had to endure that, but I'm also glad that I now don't have to worry about missing anything.
  23. That's what his caddy thinks and I would tend to agree.
