  1. I agree. I almost gag everytime i hear how a group is "on the clock". Start issuing individual penalties and play will speed up. Baseball is much more watchable now. I agree. Right now the players know being "on the clock" is totally meaningless.
  2. He replied to me. It would be rude not to reply back. I am very considerate.
  3. They said something about the nice weather. Hopefully the OPEN next week will be challenging.
  4. I turned it on, saw the leader is already at -9. No more comments from me.
  5. They set up the course way too easy today but the old guy held on to beat Stricker. Absolutely amazing he could stare down someone so much younger. Record breaking
  6. Langer up by 6. Looks like an easier course today.
  7. Langer at -6. Looks like it will be between the top 3 tomorrow.
  8. I think he made the cut
  9. Langer put in a -3 on a difficult course. Lets see how the afternoon scores end up.
  10. I dont agree. What he has done is amazing beating so many younger players. Finished even today. Yea, love the rough.
  11. Winning score of -10 is too low. It would have been lower except the 3 top finishers got tight. A -7 and 2 -5's were shot on the last day. They need to get back to rough surrounding the greens and fairways that makes it a penalty for hitting into it.
  12. I like the set up. Looks like a true test of golf this weekend. I want Langer to win. So far the avg score is 77 according to the Golf Channel.
  13. I agree. Not a US Open worthy course.
  14. I still find it bizarre the quality of the women Tiger was cheating with. I dont think he is physically attractive but he certainly has the fame and bucks to get the best.
  15. I was rooting against him as well. Scottie just cant get the putts in the hole.
  16. Right now assuming its up to date im seeing 16 players under par for their rounds today with many still not teed off. Tom Kim is -7. From what i gather the record is 268 -16 on a par 71 course. That is in jeopardy. Koepka is too far back. Im hoping now for Johnson to win though my pick Scheffler can do it especially if the course does toughen up.
  17. So i guess the tough course starts tomorrow? Fowler would fold up on a hard course. This might be made for him.
  18. Lets see how the rest of the day and week goes. Please dont get me started on pace of play. Maybe if they issued stroke penalties on a regular basis for slow play instead of meaningless warnings play would speed up.. You make good points and i will wait till i make any further posts on the ease of the course to see what happens the rest of the week. I will post good things about how my favs are doing, Scheffler, Koepka, and Rahm.
  19. Hey, i understand some people just like seeing birdie after birdie. A pro is supposed to be the best. At least once a year we should be able to see pros figuring out how to make a par. As far as the barranca goes its falling flat as an obstacle unless you really get unlucky.
  20. I have to say this is a major disappoinment. -7 the lead in the first round of the US OPEN? At one time this was a true test of golf on a difficult course. I read where some were claiming the lack of rough was a good thing. I guess so if you want a defenseless course with little or no obstacles. Please do something to toughen this thing up overnight. No way should a US OPEN have scores this low. At least my pick to win, Scheffler, is on the board.
  21. It makes a huge difference. Take that joke par 5 last week in the Canadian. Should be a 500 yard par 4. If you take a joke par 5 where you can hit an IRON off the tee and turn it into a long par 4 then it forces the player to hit driver. That creates more margin for error and makes a PRO show why they are a pro. Again, take the joke par 5 last week. Move the tee up just enough so driver gets you over the creek but a lesser club lands you in the hazard. Pros should not be hitting irons off the tee on a par 5. Make it a par 4. I like this week there are 5 par 3's. All tiny tot par 4's should be converted to long par 3's. Bottom line is force Pro's to show why they are pros.
  22. He is the best but Scottie has been close for weeks. A few putts and he wins easy.
  23. I dont think it will be a birdie fest either.
  24. I predict Sheffler will win. Lack of rough around the greens is concerning. Nice to see 5 par 3's.
  25. Yea, the moral outrage is laughable. And crying for the "poor" pga players. Rory and thomas arent exactly begging for food on the street corner.
