I started as a 28 under the R&A system when that was the max and only adjusted in tournaments. Took many an X and never changed until year 2 or 3 after lessons.

Chambers is still requiring players to park at the practice facility and walk up to the first tee. At least the grill and other facilities remain open even if Pierce County went back to phase 2.

Depends on the course in the South Sound, WA. Privately owned courses are leading the way back to adding rakes, etc. No course I play is back to normal.

I'm curious how far they play as a par 3. Probably not the best course for walking.

5-6 Hours is par for Arcadia. Better to go to Kingsley and play it twice. The multiple sets of tees give you an option to change the angles significantly.

We all have favorites, but what makes a horrible course? What makes a course so bad you wish it would close forever?....and forever is a long, long time.

Rules in competition (even a "friendly" wager) - yes; evens the playing field; expectations known Dress - criticizing "golf clothing" is as bigoted as saying you wear wife-beaters; however, as in life there are standards so adapt to the standards of your choice. When you learn to appreciate golf, you will appreciate finer clubs that have standards. Music, alcohol, etc. - no music for me, rather hear nature; alcohol in moderation for me, fun definite yes; whatever you do that does not affect others or harm the course/club is ok with me - just like pets, your religion, etc...I know you love them but you don't need to share them or force them strangers. Spark - sounded like a good idea until I saw the first week results; a single recorded a score of -11 for nine; 7 net birdies and 2 net eagles; missed the first week and won't be signing up for any of that "relaxed fun" in the future.
