  1. I don't think Kelly is hot. Lauren...She's hot. Winn is cute. What happened to Inga Hammond? She had some cougar qualities
  2. Golf is golf. It doesn't need Tiger, but it's sure alot more fun (to me) when he's on. During his absence, I've found myself enjoying the European tour more often than anything else. The announcers drive me crazy though. There was a statement earlier in this thread about no swearing or club throwing while tiger's been away, WRONG! JB holmes dropped the F bomb on TV after missing a putt. Tiger just has the camera on him more often than most. We watch as they hope Phil can Thrill....Which he hasn't. Either way, I'm watching golf in some shape way or form everyday with or without Tiger. So for now it's tiger woods 2k10 on Xbox360, and crazy a$$ Michael Breed on the Golf Channel tonight.
  3. The CG15 is a nice wedge. I picked one up in 56* to fit between my 52 and 60 degree CG14. Face is a little smaller and the swingweight is heavier, but it's got great bite.

    Cabin Fever

We played golf all year last year in Jersey. If it was above 40, we were out there. This year, 20's and pounded by snow. It's suppose to snow again tonight, so I'll be lucky to see a fairway by the end of march. Even the heated driving range is pointless with all the snow on the ground. AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
  5. It takes about 30 days to get it back (I've got 20 days to go before mine comes home). check out www.scottycameron.com . There are slideshows of other peoples custom work. I'm hoping mine makes putter of the day before they send it back.
  6. I agree with one of the previous statements. Buying from one of the more reputable sellers with positive feedback greatly reduces your chances of being a victim on Ebay. I've purchased many a club. Nickent, Cleveland, even a few Scottie's. No issues as of yet. The only issue I've had is a 58 degree wedge I purchased was acutally bent to56 degrees. I ended up having it bent to 60 anyway. But it was an authentic club.
  7. I play with a guy who wears cologne in excess. You're outside to smell the fresh air and all you can smell for the entire round is Stetson for men. If you get stuck in the cart with him....OH BOY! And add to the fact that he never knows where his ball is. I see it fly over the trees, two holes over and he doesn't believe me. All he'll say is " I know I hit it good, I'll take a look " My only other issue are people who always want to play but won't make tee times. But will call you every Friday to see where "we" are playing on Saturday.
  8. No problem at all. Instructions aren't necessary, you'll be fine.
  9. Here is a link to the item I was talking about. Mine isn't by Haney, but 10 bucks is a good deal. You won't be the coolest looking person at the driving range with this thing on, but it really works. http://www.golfsmith.com/products/23..._Swing_Trainer
  10. I haven't used either, but I can tell you what training aids I've used just as an FYI. I had the medicus 5 iron for a year. It really slowed down my tempo and forced me to stop coming of the top of the ball. Just sold it on ebay for 60 bucks. I also practiced with and still do, the elastic band that slides over both of your arms. Golfsmith has them for like ten bucks. I make the best ball contact when I have that thing wrapped around my arms. I wish I could use it on the course. It really helped me and for the price, you should give it a try. Either way you go, good luck and get ready for the snow. I'm in central jersey and everyone is beginning to panic already. I'll be playing Tiger Woods on xbox till the snow melts!
  11. I got a squareback a few weeks ago and I shipped it out as soon as I got it. Initials, headcover, paintfill and sight dot. It's not like I can use it any time soon with all this snow, so I sent it to california for a little "spa treatment"
  12. Thanks guys. Appreciate the tips. I will try to get some pics up soon.
  13. My problem is my shoulders tend to block my view of the ball as I enter the impact zone. I've read numerous books and watched videos, but no one seems to have this problem or discuss it. Should the shoulders rotate in the backswing like a door opens (left to right) or up and down (like a U)??? I've taken a few lessons and the pro says my spin around (like a baseball swing) rather than down. But didn't tell me how to fix it! As I'm about to hit the ball, I feel as though my shoulder lifts my head and takes my eyes off the ball. Any tips, drills or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to those who reply
  14. 2 cents....That's about 5 Dollars! Great analysis.
  15. I'm not sure, but I think this may be what you're looking for... Golfsmith brassmasters M5 putter head.
  16. Very well stated. I will have to work on this a lot more. Thanks!
  17. I received a new Golfsmith catalog in the mail yesterday and they had a few of them in there. I believe they were made by Snake Eyes. The catalog was some kind of clubmaker edition.
  18. Never have, but intend to venture out a little more this year. Some of the views at Morgan Hill are the best I've seen anywhere. Golf course or not. Especially in the spring. And in reading some of the other views, I don't care what you wear, respect the game. Walking 18 holes in jeans has got to leave a hell of a thigh rash. LOL!
  19. Ebay has a few sets starting at $100. Take a look and see if anything suits you.
  20. If you have no intention on selling it, get it done whichever way you see fit. And if you do plan on selling it, let the buyer know that you had the putter bent somewhere other than the studio. Then it's on them. But for now set it up the way you need it and roll the rock. Good luck
  21. I would go to a pro shop - Dicks, Golfsmith, etc and get fit for clubs. Write down the specs and search for a used set on Ebay. you may be taller (Like me) or shorter than average, and need something longer or shorter than standard or the lie degree changed. getting fit will tell you. Then search irons +1/2 or minus - 1/2 and you'll find all you need and more. Don't even enter a brand, just search irons. You'll save yourself some cash that you could invest in a lesson or two. Good luck!
  22. I have the hi-bores. They are great when you 1st start out, but once you get your game up and running, you won't have a need for a hybrid 6-pw. I ditched those, kept the hybrid 3,4,and 5. And switched to the CG golds irons. So I would go with the R7's and get hybrids later when the opportunity presented itself. Best of luck.
  23. I agree 100%
  24. I play (or try to at least) all over. Live in Edison, favorite places to play in my area: Galloping hill, Royce Brook, Heron Glen, and Knob Hill. The only place I've played in PA is Morgan Hill. Beautiful place, but a really tough course.
  25. Try the beanie's that are made by companies like under armour. They whisk away the sweat without cooking your brain! and they fit tight enough that you can still wear a bucket or any other type of hat. And come in a variety of colors. Try it out. Good luck.
