  1. I had a post on here from earlier today......where did it go? About the Nike driver.
  2. I looked at them at the begining of the season but then heard the baffler rail f was coming so I held out until I could demo them both. When I got a chance to hit them both side by side I went with the S2. The S2 has a good feel to it. I like the weight and the way the ball comes of the face. I got the 3 wood as well. The distance that I get out of it fits well between my driver and 20* hybrid.
  3. Play your own round. Don't worry about what they are doing have fun. It is a completely different beast than just playing a round with your buds. At least that was the way it was for me a few weeks ago.
  4. Just play your game the way you know how to. A few weeks ago was our club championship and I tried to play the same as the others in my flight and it bit me in the you know what. You know what clubs to hit and where to play smart or go all out.
  5. Sometimes when I play they will give you a "gimmie" but there is something about that rattle that gives me more confidence as well. It makes me feel more sure in my swing even driving on the next hole.
  6. You didn't break 80 you shattered it! Congrats!
  7. Thanks for the offer but.......I think those will stick around for awhile.
  8. Sounds to good to be true............
  9. Thanks guys. I really appreciate. I guess they will be there next year and I have good irons now. I am just fighting the urge to ho!
  10. No because I am a green dot. Thanks though. Come on guys tell me "Oh in a few months they will be in the low 2's anyway" or "I have seen them at that price anyway here and there". Please!!!
  11. DAMN YOU!!!!!!! Didn't you read the subect!!!!!!!!! LOL
  12. They are used but look like new. It is a short set with only 6 clubs. They got them on trade for what I don't know.
  13. Ok so I walk into Golf Discount today and there they are a set of G10 irons 5-W. 1/2" long green dot. Exactly what I am fitted for. The only down side is they are regular flex which if I was honest with myself is what I should have because I don't swing hard. I could swing a lot harder than I do but then I loose control. So I jut slow it down. But enough of this blah blah blah. They are $230 . Tell me that I will find them at this price again and it really isn't as good of a price as I am thinking. Money is a little tight now so I will have to pass for now.
  14. I know it will sound like I am a little fanatical about this but I will say it again. Nickent hybrids are a great club and can be found very cheap. So I would say a way to experiment would be a 21* hybrid. I love mine and once you get used to hitting a hybrid you will wonder how you ever did it before.
  15. Very nice!!! When I bought mine i was a 20 something handicap and in less that one season chipped it down a ways. When I bought mine they where going to be just for this year and then cleaned and retired but after this year they will be cleaned, regriped, and put back in play for a while to come. I LOVE MY PING BECU EYE 2'S!!!!!!!
  16. The only experience that I have had with them is a couple of phone conversations and they where a real pleasure to talk to. Just went a different direction. If you search this forum it seems to me that they have pretty good customer support so I bet they will make it right and then some maybe. If you want a quicker response just call them. I prefer to talk mano to mano but that's just me.
  17. I was in the same boat as you I didn't even carry a fairway until recently when I felt I was good enough for one. I hit several brands and ended up with the same brand of fairway wood as driver. I will say just because they say it is a club for the fairway and not as good as off the tee or whatever doesn't mean much. The baffler f was supposed to be easier to hit but the s2 is a better club for me. It is all preference in look and feel. Good luck. I am so happy to have a fairway in my bag and hit it good.
  18. At the handicap you are (and I am not much better so no disrespect) but do you really need all those wedges anyway. Maybe I am a little weird but my Eye 2's have a PW that is a shy 51* but that is all I need. If I am within 75 yards this club can get me within 10 ft of the pin anyway. But if I needed all those wedges I would say option 1 with the Vokey's. I would think they would have a much better wedge sole and more workability than the G series.
  19. I am glad to see this post. I am going to be in the market for some new irons and Ping is the top of the list. I am torn between the g and i series. Maybe a mix set? Congrats on the new irons!!!!
  20. +2 or is it +3. Can't go wrong with a Ping putter
  21. I just use soap and water, but then again mine are copper and I prefer the chocolate brown color and a nice shiny sole and where the ball smacks.
  22. Don't do it! It is the best worst thing you will ever pick-up! Just kidding. Have fun, don't get frustrated, and be patient, Remember a bad day on the golf course is better than a great day at work!!!
  23. My wife and I just lost our pregnancy at around 2 months and it was to be our first. My wife blamed her self as well and I searched for a way to help her as well. I am not a holy roller, but I do believe in a higher power that controls and guides us through this thing called life. I will pray for you and hope that you, your wife, and your little girl get through this and I know you will. I know that it is hard and it was for us but this WILL make you and your family stronger.
  24. Hope it works for you! Nickent was one of those company's that made a great product and maybe to good for it's price point.
  25. I bought a set of BeCu Eye 2's early this year I have always loved the look of them. When I bought these I said I would play these this year and retire them and just admire the beauty. My handicap is dropping very nicely. So now I am reconsidering my idea about retiring these. My question is they where made in 1984 and the shafts are original and can't be redone due to the fact no one will touch them so how long do shafts last? Are they good until they snap or do they loose a little something? If I was to replace them now that I am a Ping guy and wanted something new would the replacement be the G series or the I series. I have hit both and have the same result from both although I like the look of the I series. Thanks for the help
