  2. Hahaha, that is a great story. I was actually debating picking up his 2 DVD set today, and you've just sealed it for me.
  3. What does it mean if my divots are following a line parallel to my feet (and usually in front of the ball), but I'm still slicing? Even trying weak and strong grips did nothing for me.
  4. We had a rule at another message board I used to go to... If you start a thread about someone, you lost. ------- To answer the question though, I think playing the same course every year gives a bigger advantage to the better player, of which Tiger is the best. I've often heard the Masters referred to as the Augusta Putting Championship. It's relatively "easy" to hit your GIRs there, so your swing doesn't need to be as on point as some other places. Tiger's putter isn't his main problem right now, and he knows the greens well there. Having said that, I'm a 30-something handicap who isn't getting any better...on the verge of retirement. I'm not allowed to comment until I win my 14 majors. I've heard that heart surgeons have heart attacks induced before they're allowed to perform heart surgery.
  5. Sound like anyone you know?
  6. I don't think he'll win another one either, but I'm not confident enough to put $100 on it. Nor am I confident enough I'd be here in 10 years to collect it ha. I think Tiger's own dominance made us forget how incredibly difficult it is to win a major. I put the odds at 60% he doesn't win another major, 85% he doesn't pass jack. The young guns are just too good now.
  7. Couldn't Tiger still technically lose his card via death? LargeMarge wouldn't have to pay up until 5 years time. If Tiger's still breathing air at that point, he loses.
  8. I need to echo 2 sentiments in this thread as loud as I can: 1. If your swing is already fast, this won't help....at least not as quickly as it's been helping most of the people in this thread. 2. Make sure you have good fundamentals. I figured I'd try it anyway since the website claimed it's for beginners as well. It was horrible. I wanted to swing way before the 2nd beep even on 21/7. I have a short back swing. Oh well. Maybe I'll try it again after I get better or something.
  9. I think that's the natural reaction. I'm the same way.
  10. That's fine, but no where was I rude or condescending or "not chill" in my rebuttal.
  11. Take a chill pill? There was nothing but chill in my post. Take a "thick skin" pill.
  12. Key word was "high handicappers" dude. The fastest way for someone shooting 110 to get in the 90s is to work on ballstriking, yet people will often (incorrectly IMO) say short game or course management are more important. There's a whole thread on it.
  13. Only speaking for high handicappers like myself, but I think "put driver away and hit 3w" is one of those old false relics like "you should work on your short game". I never top my driver, but I top my 3w 25-50% of the time. I finally neglected the age old advice of putting the driver away and instead started playing driver more than 3w and am hitting more fairways. I'll pull a 4i though if I don't have a lot of room.
  14. This guy sounds awesome. Like that dude who trained Seinfeld. I haven't improved from my instructor either....well, inside 100yds I have. My long game is still god awful.
  15. Isn't it funny how a push cart feels less masculine and more senior citizen-ish than riding in a silly looking golf cart?
