Tiger cheats in Tiger Woods 2012 The Masters
VolunteerGolfer replied to VolunteerGolfer's topic in Golf Talk
If I'm remembering right, I did not have to play with him the next round. The scores were normal the next time out. -
I hate to say it, but I think he is done. That being said, what do I know. I am an 18 handicapper who is not an orthopedist, nor am I a psychiatrist. Looks like he has both physical and mental problems. I think the "Tiger" aura has been so damaged he can't just play. Again, I'm just an 18.

Tiger cheats in Tiger Woods 2012 The Masters
VolunteerGolfer replied to VolunteerGolfer's topic in Golf Talk
I guess that could be, but if my copy is pirated Game Spot owes me some money back. :) Well I finished 2nd to Tigers 97 under and stayed in 2nd in the EA Sports ranking. The next tournament the scoring went as it should. I won by 2 strokes and over took Tiger for number 1. Go figure? Strange glitch for sure. His score never changed for the entire round. Didn't matter if he made a bird or a bog. If you look at the 97 under, it is his 25 under ant the start of the round, and then 72 under for round 4. So he was so good he did not even have to hit the ball to get it in the hole and score a 0. -
Like was said above, its consistency. The vast majority of armatures don't have it. That's why we are am's and not pro's.

Tiger cheats in Tiger Woods 2012 The Masters

I would be too if it wasn't me. -
So I have been working with the AI difficulty levels and the amount of focus I allow myself to use. By doing this I have been able to get the AI competitive and not "blow" away the field. It has made the game more interesting and I actually don't win all the tournaments. Anyway, to the point. I am currently ranked #2 in the EA Sports ranking. I am playing my first tournament with the possibility of overtaking Tiger Woods for #1. When you do this you play beside Tiger for the whole tournament. Going in to the fourth round I am one off the lead. Casey is in 1st at 37 under and I am in 2nd at 36 under. Tiger is way back at 25 under. So I'm thinking alright with a good round and a win I will be number 1. WRONG. Imagine my surprise when I start the fourth round and see Tiger is now in the lead(mind you he has not played a hole in the fourth round yet) at, wait for it, ..........................................-97. WHAT THE? So I quit the game and restart. Same thing. Guess he really dose not want me to be number 1. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Different feel/sound to forged vs. GI?
VolunteerGolfer replied to Wildcat's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
In all seriousness, you get more feel and feed back from a forged club than a cast. This is of course my opinion. -
Another 2 LPGA players got DQ´ed for cheating
VolunteerGolfer replied to kafka01's topic in Tour Talk
In a game based on honesty and integrity, they should have a much harsher penalty that just tournament DQ. My opinion atleast a one year suspension from the tour. That is ofcourse if they are guilty of what is being implied. -

I had them use "Smart Balance" on mine since I have high cholesteral. Don't need my groves clogging. -

Julie Inkster DQ over rule violation....
VolunteerGolfer replied to MSDOGS1976's topic in Rules of Golf
I think it's a little silly you can't put a weight on you club to stay loose. 30 minutes on a tee box in a pro event? That's rough. That being said, the rules are the rules and as long as she has been playing she should know better. -
I just started using it on my iphone and cant get it to correctly track scores, stats, clubs etc. I download the course have it set up to track etc. At the end of each hole I enter score, puts, chips, misses etc. If I try to select score card it brings up a screen that says something along the lines of "start a round in order to track score and stats". I can do this for 18 holes even and at the end of the round it has nothing stored. I don't know if I'm missing a step at the beginning for the round or what?

3 hours for a 9 hole executive?

It's a 3 wood. It aggravates me when I here Johnny Miller say 3 metal. Like you said, how many irons are still made of iron? Porbably none. It's a 3 WOOD.
-
Yeah, I have just this last month, with lots of range time, started hitting my 3 iron well and consistantly. I now hit it with a nice little fade. The past two rounds I have hit I think 55% of the fairways, so deffinatly a step in the right direction. If the 7 wood is working for you, keep it up. It's all about confidence. If you stand over the ball and are confident that you will hit the 7 wood well, you have a better chance of doing so.
-
I have recently started to carry only one fairway wood. Either my 4 or 5. I have added a 3 iron since I have been hitting my irons well. In my last two rounds I shot 89 and 90, and did not use my fairway wood at all. I either used driver or 3 iron off the tee, and on the par 5's I layed up to wedge distance versus going for the green. Don't know i that helps or not, but that is what I have been doing the past few rounds.

That's funny. Shanks: that was from a previous post. Too many variables to say, but Shanks is probably close.

Intermediate target will help a ton. It can be anything, broken tee, divot, clump of grass, etc. The line "looks" like it changes when you move from behind your ball to your stance. That's where a intermediate target helps.

Choosing the right wedges (degree wise)
VolunteerGolfer replied to BigJohn's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
You can have 14 clubs. Maybe 52, 56, 60? I carry as few as one and as many as four. Just depends on what you want to do. Neither is right nor wrong. -
Adams Ovation Fairways Woods
VolunteerGolfer replied to Leer_Dayne's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Good deal, I hope you like them as much as I do. -
Hey, give me my scorecard back! I know how frustrating that is. I'm really bad about letting that first ugly shot mess up a entire hole. Been doing better lately, but it still gets to me.

Callaway restructuring, will add Mexico facility
VolunteerGolfer replied to GaijinGolfer's topic in Golf Talk
True. There is more and more talk about clones. Clones are just as good etc. I just don't believe that. If it were true, why are no pros or top ams playing clones. It is not because they are being paid to play a certain club, it's because the clubs they are playing are better. Not saying clones don't have a place, but they are not as good as the clubs they are made to be similar to. I had clones when I started playing again, but replaced them with name brand when money would permit. Also unfortuante for me, Callaway has been my favorite manufacturer.
