  1. I play a 60 with 8 degrees of bounce. 8 is standard 60 degree bounce. If you dig a lot then use a higher bounce to keep it from getting caught in the ground.
  2. I'm working on my overall game plan and ways to attack the course. As well as hitting further.
  3. My swing speed is about 105+ and I currently use a R flex driver shaft as well as fairway wood. I also launch the ball high with a driver which I really don't mind that much but I would like it to be lower. I am going to be on my schools golf team next year and would like a new Dymo 9.5 Stiff flex. Would a stiff shaft be right for me.
  4. I agree with TW. The Nxt Tour has low spin with driver but high spin with irons and wedges.
  5. Square drivers stay a bit stabler in the swing and produce a higher launch because the weight is positioned on the back corners.
  6. I like the Karsten Zing 2's. Classic looking.
  7. Mine is 26 I can't really remember how well I putted the day.
  8. Mine are, Average GIR- 6 Average FIR- 6.2 Average Putts- 38 Best Score- 66 ( par 32 course played twice ) Average Score- 84 Scores Eagles- 0 (0%) Birdies-13 (4.5%) Pars- 96 (33.3%) Bogeys- 101 (35%) Double Bogeys+- 78 (27%)
  9. Hybrids are meant to go farther than irons. It's the way they're designed. They are made for long high flight.
  10. I believe you can only go so far without lessons. I've been playing about the same for the past month and haven't had any lessons from my friends dad in about a month. So I'm probably going to get lessons here soon.
  11. I'm using a new technique to get more spin called a trap. When I hit the trap with a wedge the ball stays low and has a fair amount of spin. But I want to get a higher trajectory with the same spin on the full swing traps. Can you help me?
  12. I hit some monster drives today. The longest was close to 280 dead center of the fairway. Another was a 5 wood from the next fairway to my fairway on a par 5.
  13. True Temper Shafts are made in the US. But most companies have their club heads forged or cast in China. Nikes are made in china unless you special order from the oven.
  14. I was told but it cured my slice personally. But since I'm younger just dropping it to the inside doesn't cure completely it just keeps it from going OB. I post up on my front leg to prevent a slap.
  15. There is a short par 3 course at my local golf superstore. The shortest hole is 59 yards and the longest is 136 yards. Bunkers on every hole and the greens don't get any bigger than 20x20 in yards. The greens are soft which makes them easy to hold. $5 to play 9. It's very fun.
  16. I use it and it helps a lot. It makes my draws easier but when I get too far inside I get stuck behind or it's a huge hook. It has improved my ball striking though.
  17. I think you should leave the 4 iron in and add a 56 but leave the 60 in because when your sitting 10 yards behind a tree and you need to get it high you'll want the 60.
  18. I use one but I'm too lazy to write down everything for each hole like pin positions, yardage to hazards, front middle and back. What I do have is my club yardages for draws, straight, and fades with driver thru 9 iron. I also have the green sizes of my local nine hole course.
  19. What I don't like is they are making all clubs next year with v grooves. Why not just make the pros clubs with v's and leave the ones they sell with box. The pros get them special made anyway so why not just put v grooves on theirs only.
  20. My sumo 5000 is pretty good. When I hit the ball near the toe it make a louder sound and twists a bit in my hands. Same as when I hit the ball off the heel. It's sweetspot is about an inch across.
  21. Driving- 10, I usually can hit good drives and really get a hold of them. Avg is about 250. Fairway- 20, I've really only had one good round with it so far. I've had my dymo for about 4 rounds now. Long Irons- 10, I hit my long irons really solid and quite far for my age. Mid Irons- 12, I can hit some solid shots with these as well but have hit some horrible pull hooks even when I have a great round. Short Irons- 15, I usually push or pull these and rarely hit my mark. Full Wedges- 15, I misshit these as well. Half Wedges- 20, I can't judge how hard to hit half wedges worth crap. Short Game- 5, Most of the time I can get up and down quite easily thanks to my ability of putting my chips and pitches inside 15 feet. Putting- 15, I'm getting a bit better with my feel.
  22. Try a fade for me it seems to make the ball flight higher.
