  1. Would trying a larger grip help to keep the hands a little quieter as well. I suffer from the same problem. Thanks!
  2. Just a suggestion, I have started using the PINg K15 woods. The heads are big and forgiving, which has made the use of fairway woods much easier for me. The larger head definitely makes it much easier. You might give it a try. I started with the 7 wood; maybe its not what the big-hiters use, but I tell ya its real easy to hit and get up in the air. Distance is good too. Once you get good with it, work your way down 5 to 3 wood. Again, just a suggestion. I am with you, the fairway woods can be real intimidating to hit. Find a club that at least instills confidence when you look down on it. The K15 line does that for me. John
  3. Question, I have a 4W I want to put a new shaft in. I really dont like the stock shaft. Can I take it into a store with a simulator and can they determine the best shaft for me? I assume most places have a variety of shafts to try? Thanks!
  4. I agree...I'm curious as well...
  5. Thanks for the info...my swing speed is bewteen 90-95. I knew the shaft had a lot to do with how high the ball went; I just thought the 9* head woudl keep it down. Sounds like all it does in this case is lessen the forgiveness. The 13.5* I have goes pretty far but just too high. I sure like the way the ball soars though which is why I was trying to stick with the V2.
  6. Ruckus, doesn't sound like you cared too much for the 9*/BB combo huh?
  7. Is a V2 with a 9* loft and a blueboard regular flex shaft going to produce a pretty low ball flight. I have a 13.5* with a regular ping shaft (it was cheap in the trade in bin) and it goes a mile but obviously real sky-high! I was wondering if the 9* with the blueboard would be too much in the oposite direction and more for a lower-handicapp player. Thanks for the help!
  8. Im curious myself as they seem to get pretty good reviews...
  9. Like mine so far; I also replaced a burner. I was hoping for a little more distance but that will probably come with time as my swing gets better! Looks bad-ass as others have said and I like the sound a feel.
  10. I went with the K15 but I too was torn between it and the G15. I guess I just went with the newest and the fact the head was a little bigger and the added weight down low.
  11. I bought a Ping K15 a couple of weeks ago. It's real easy to hit, both off the deck and off the tee.
  12. Thanks for the info...!
  13. Thanks for the advice fellas. I'm glad I asked before switching out. I really just need to work on my darn swing!
  14. See if it helps my control. I tend to get a high ball flight which sends the ball far right when my slice kicks in. Im wondering if the lower ball flight might help a bit. Any thoughts?
  15. Will I notice a significant difference in ball flight going from a 10.5 to 9.5 loft in my driver? Any other differences to expect? Thanks! John
  16. If you dont mind me asking, did you go with a stiff or regular shaft in your R9? I just got one with a stiff shaft and Im thinking about going back to regular to try and get more distance. Thanks!
  17. I took the new (well new to me) driver to the range with the 44 inch shaft. Wow, it really does make a difference. Didn't really change my swing but boy the slice is gone! Went straight and just about as far as my Burner. Im a believer, the shorter shaft seems to make a difference with the control, unless its the FT IQ head itself. Either way, Im happy!
  18. The lighter grip makes that big of a difference?
  19. I just got an FT IQ driver that has a shaft cut down to 44 inches. At the store it seemed to hit pretty well but i still need to try it on the range. Seems the shorter shafts are the way to go to keep some control. If I need to add weight, what portion of the head do I add it to and how much to start? Thanks!
  20. I love them. Probably my favorite ball to date and the price is definitely right!
  21. I can't wait to try these!
  22. Excellent, I wondered what was ment when referring to torque. Thanks for the explanation.
  23. I just bought the Golf Buddy. No fees and works great. I paid about $200 for it.
  24. Thanks for the help. I have a horrible slice, especially with my driver, but with a soft/regular shaft, it seems to help. I also worked on my grip which help a lot as well. Now to work on my swing some more!
