  1. Has any one tried this, and did you like the result? I plan to cover one of my home office wall with a mural. Thanks, http://boysthemebedrooms.com/golf/golf-bedrooms-golf-home-decor.html
  2. I am in the Miami for a week (till Thursday of next week). Where should I play? Doral is a little bit too expensive for me. I prefer a course that is around $100 or less. My hotel is near the Airport. Many thanks,
  3. It was a down year for American golfers in 2010. Was it an anamoly or you think this is the trend that European golfers will dominate for the next few years?
  4. Wow, probably 80% of putts left short by the Americans. I have never seen that from the pros before.
  5. Product Testing Manager of Sun Mountain should be fired. They made great push carts but this incident is a major embarassment. Probably cost the company several millions dollars.
  6. NEWPORT, United Kingdom – The opening hours of the Ryder Cup brought embarrassment for the United States’ team, even though the first day’s fourballs matches were severely delayed by bad weather. In a development that left U.S. captain Corey Pavin red-faced, the American team was forced to ditch its official waterproof clothing and replace it with new gear purchased from the clubhouse store at the Celtic Manor course. “We are disappointed with the performance of them, so we fixed it,” Pavin said. “They weren’t doing what we wanted them to do so we went out and bought new waterproofs.” A U.S. team source told Yahoo! Sports that the standard waterproofs, provided by Montana-based company Sun Mountain, were holding too much liquid and thus weighed down players and caddies alike. Captain Pavin had been alerted to the problem by the time the opening pair of Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson had reached the second green, and an emergency plan was put into action. A team official was hastily dispatched to the merchandising tent, where almost the entire stock of ProQuip waterproof trousers were purchased, according to a store worker. “They bought more than 20 pairs,” the employee told Yahoo! Sports. The choice of replacement was all the more humiliating for Pavin, as ProQuip is the official waterproof supplier to the European team. Inclement weather has been predicted ever since the Ryder Cup was awarded to Celtic Manor, and European captain Colin Montgomerie took no chances with his preparation. “When I was a player in the Ryder Cup, I simply turned up, put on the gear that had been left for me in my room, went out and started playing,” said Montgomerie, who collaborated with his wife Gaynor, caddie Jason Hempleman and ProQuip managing director Richard Head in all aspects of Europe’s kit design. “But as captain it is totally different, and I am central to all of what goes on behind the scenes. “I have always said we will wear what the players want to wear, and I think that symbolizes the entire team spirit we are engendering.” Montgomerie held several meetings with ProQuip and tested the products before they were ordered for each team member. “It was clear from the outset that Colin had prepared for all our meetings,” Head said. “He made himself available in all aspects of the discussions about the waterproofs, which was excellent.” The U.S. team waterproofs didn’t just bother the players; they attracted criticism for their look and design as well. Former Tiger Woods coach Butch Harmon, commentating on British television, described them as “not right” and insisted they looked more like a basketball practice uniform. All members of both teams had no choice but to wear waterproof gear as rain drenched the course from the start of play at 7:45 a.m Welsh time. Mickelson opted to wear all-weather gloves — even while putting — and none of the Americans looked comfortable. When play was stopped after just five holes of the top match, Europe was ahead in each of the first three matches – with only Bubba Watson and Jeff Overton leading, ahead of Luke Donald and Padraig Harrington.
  7. Can't find rating and slope for the course. It could be that Europeans don't use the system? But here is the official scorecard. http://www.celtic-manor.com/download...=cms&docID;=652
  8. I have read many reviews and they all say that the PS3 Move is much more precise in replicating actual movements that the Wii. I will compare between the Daly's and Tiger's game to see which one is better.
  9. you are right, those look like the same hole. Number two is definitely correct. Number eight is probably wrong. You can check this link and compare the holes, http://www.celtic-manor.com/golf-course-RyderCup.aspx
  10. I will buy the PS3 move package and this game. It seems more realistic than the Wii. Anyone else?

  12. Post your driver distance (carry + roll) and handicap here. My average distance is 230 and my handicap is around 14. I wonder if I can get to single digit handicap without being longer from the tees.
  13. Like it or not but MW attracts viewers. She might not be eloquent but I wouldn't say that she is unintelligent. You have no idea how much pressure she went through and you think you can handle it better than her. Just look at Erica Blasberg, she buckled under the pressure of high expectations and took her own life. How about Ty Tryon?
  14. -7 after first 9 holes and leading by 4. Hope she wins this tournament too. This is good for Michelle Wie but also good for the LPGA tour.
  15. Any one in San Diego wants to try Torrey Pines North? Usually I shoot around 86-90 from the blue tees.
  16. As bad as Anthony Kim is playing missing all the cuts, how come he is at 34th which is much better than Tiger? I still don't understand this FEDEX cup point system.
  17. I read that Jim Furuk uses this grip and there are two advantages. One, it helps reduce the hand action of the right arm. And secondly it helps improve lag. Is this true? Has anyone tried this yet? I will give it a try today. I have these exact two problems right now and hope that this grip will help.
  18. Get the Nickent 4DX 2 Ironwood 17*, it gives you similar distance to a 5 wood. Very easy to hit and has a deeper face. This club is very cheap. $40 new on ebay.
  19. Read this great article about improving your balance. http://pardreamer.com/balance
  20. One benefit of having the divot in front of the ball is that now my short iron shots have one or two feet back spin. Before, my balls were usually level with the ball mark or one or two feet forward of the ball mark. Not that I want to loose one yard of distance but having the balls spun back I know that I am hitting the ball first. On average I gained about 5 yards exept the 3W and the Driver.
  21. May be sex fuels Tiger's game. Seriously.
  22. The problem with this is that his opponents affected the outcome of his batting.
  23. Name a single sport performance can be measured (running, high jump, long jump, swimming, ...etc.) that past athletes were better than today's athletes. Of course you can't. Larger talent pool, scientific training, and healthier/stronger people means that athletes of every sport get better. That is why you don't hear that Jesse Owens was better than Usain Bolt. If there is no stop watch, I am sure a bunch of people would say Jesse Owens is still the best.
  24. I had problems hitting behind the ball until I started to use the stack and tilt swing a month ago. Now I don't hit behind the ball anymore. This morning I hit 10 balls on a chalkline. 10 nice divots.
  25. Apparently Erica was struggling on the LPGA tour. She was not even a member this year and played on exemptions. Her best finish is T8 in 6 years. Read the article below and you will understand her struggle. I think she (and others) put too much expectations on herself. I just wished she dealt with it better. RIP Erica. http://culturemap.com/newsdetail/05-...arent-suicide/
