  1. 52 for 9 holes. Last rd of the year. Safe to say I just cannot play this game. I find nothing enjoyable about it. I did get to see my dad shoot his lowest rd of the year. So, that's a positive.
  2. Bryan Bros and Busta Jack are very entertaining. GM golf is pretty fun to watch too. Golf Sidekick actually got me interested in playing again, but I've found that I'd much rather watch others play than do it myself. Saves myself $50-100 bucks and a ton of aggravation. #golfjustaintmygame
  3. Rd 2 of the year. Shot a 107, at sweetbriar legacy course in Avon Lake, Ohio with multiple 10's on the back nine. I had a decent rd going on the front until multiple OB's. Had multiple birdie putts that I 3 putted. Still broke 50. Back nine was going OK until I took a 10 on a par 3. Then I lost about 7 balls on the last 4 holes, but I did birdie a par 3. I really just don't find anything enjoyable about golf anymore. I have no idea why my dad even plays anymore cuz he is so bad it's miserable to even watch, and he doesn't even have fun. I was ready to quit by hole 13.
  4. First 18 hole rd in over 10 years. 108 total for the rd and got mauled by mosquitoes on hole 1. Bob O'Link golf in Avon, OH. Gold and white course. 57 on front with two 8's, a 9 and a 10. Lost about 3 sleeves of balls. Back was decent except for losing another sleeve and a half. 51 with a 10 on hole 18. Will attempt another rd tomorrow somewhere else. I'm just spending time with my dad and trying to have some fun.
  5. I get that, but I don't have any clips from head on yet. When I get enough proper angles and get them in slow mode, I'll start a thread.
  6. I definitely see what I can work on after watching myself. It's a miracle I could even hit the ball with how my downswing looks right now. If I get this back on the correct plane, I could actually be decent again. I'm trying too hard to hit at the ball instead of swinging thru it. I will have to address this in practice.
  7. Thanks. I finally filmed my range session, and I clearly see what the big issues are. I am not only rotating my hips to start the downswing, but I'm also over rotating. It's causing me to go over the top, and then it's a crap shoot. No wonder I'm inconsistent. I will post some before and after clips once I get a chance to work on this.
  8. Well, I finally videoed myself at the range. No wonder I suck. I move too much. My legs are too busy, and I always seem to come over the top. I also aggravate my back hitting balls or playing. I honestly don't think my body is capable of properly swinging a club anymore. My shot tracer app didn't seem to work today, so I don't have any proof of how innacurate I am. I'll tell you exactly how I lose balls on almost every shot I push or pull. If I pull any approach shot, it goes long and left and it usually ends up in trouble or ob. Best case, it'll cost a few shots because I'm chipping in dirt around trees. My typical tee shot miss is a giant push/slice that will be in someones yard, the woods, or another fairway. Obviously I swing too hard, even when I don't intentionally try and crush the ball. If the ground is hard, my balls are usually gone cuz they'll roll right into any trees /water/ob like clockwork. Even if we should be able to find the ball, I can never seem to do it. So I'll count a penalty stroke and just drop it. I need to focus on some drills for a month and then maybe I'll try and play again. And yes, I've heard it from teaching pros, single digit playing partners, etc. IF I keep it in play.... IF I clean up the blowups... IF you just swing smooth and focus on accuracy.... Yeah, I cannot get past that if part. Thanks for the reply. I truly appreciate it, but I'm very frustrated.
  9. Indeed, and that's why I haven't played more than 5 rds in the last 30 years.
  10. Go Bucks! Of course I'm doing it wrong. If I was capable of doing it right, then I'd actually be good.
  11. No worries and zero need to apologize. I didn't even take it as a jab. I just find very little that's uplifting about this game.
  12. You should feel blessed you can actually play this game. There's your morale booster 😄
  13. My first 9 holes of the year... 56 with about 6 lost balls. Didn't feel I drove it very bad, nor did I chip or putt bad for the first rd in over a year. But I just can't keep balls in play. Every single errant tee shot or approach shot is an instant lost ball. I expected to take some time getting my game back, but in the 7 rds I've played in the last 29 years, I don't think I've broken 100. Safe to say that I simply cannot play this game.
  14. I've realized I just can't play anymore, so no need to really spend time or money on equipment or practicing. I'll be stuck at shooting around 50-55 for 9 and about 102-110 for 18. No sense in putting any energy or effort into a game when I can shoot awful scores on no practice just as easily.
  15. I may need to look into some tech stuff after I at least get out there for a few rounds first.
