  1. Titleist says 2009-2010 Pro V1x version are longer than the older version, longer by not much but 2-3 yards. I am playing both 2008 and 2009-2010 versions of Pro V1x, there isn't much difference for me except the psychological factor that 2009 is longer.
  2. Never seen that "TEST" Pro V1 but i know some pros playing with Pro V1x Plus this season.
  3. Yeah, used AAAA or better grade premium balls are cheaper and very good on performance. i play used Pro V1x as well, they're pretty good vs brand new.
  4. Call the Taylormade customer service, they would pretty much help out on it. I called them last week, and got my question answered.
  5. They offer 90 days rather than 60 days satisfaction store credit. A buddy of mine just went to pick up a set of used Callaway X-22 irons (graphite shaft) for $499 before 20% off and a stand bag from that Santa Ana super store. He said the store was jam packed Sunday aftertnoon.
  6. The sales will last until Monday at 5pm at many Roger Dunn stores. i went this morning to buy two dz. of new Pro V1x, towel, 2 3/4" tees, no show Footjoy sox and three golf gloves. Was only inches short of getting a Taylormade Burner Superfast home, but decided to save some two hundreds bucks in the end.
  7. Cleveland makes quality drivers, i am still playing with a 2006 Launcher 460 driver. Just wonder if anyone plays or tests the new 2010Launcher DST 9* driver with ULTRALITE DIAMANA RED 44 SHAFT? Our local Roger Dunn will have 20% off for almost everything in upcoming Labor Day weekend. I might pick that one for $199 before 20% off.
  8. This Odyssey Two Ball putter has been with me for few years since my previous older Odyssey putter was stolen in a golf course. Do i love my current putter? It's ok since i haven't tried another putter since then.
  9. That's nice. Congrats!!
  10. Shot over 95 today in a tough course, but have to blame on my inconsistent driving and lowly short game. But it's golf, a tough sport.
  11. David Frost, Ai Miyazato and Yani Tseng three most recent tour winners and Phil Mickelson all carry a 52* wedge.
  12. Not that many amatures carry 4 wedges either. My club has 50 members, i did not see any of them them carring 4 wedges. I am playing single often with many guys in the public course, and i did not see many of them are playing 4 wedges either. Like i said, if you like to play 4 wedges that's fine but not too many amatures or pros carry 4 wedges in their bags. And go check with "What's in the bag" in the Golf Channel, many tour pros do carry 52* wedges.
  13. Not many players carry 4 wedges in his/her bags, including tour players. Most tour players are carrying 2 wedges, 52* and 58* are the most common loft. But if you like 4 wedges in your bag, so be it.
  14. Perhaps you might want to try Roger Dunn or Golfsmith in SoCal area. Good luck!
  15. i will say ~$40 in most shops.
  16. I happen to have UST Proforce V2 in my driver and Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue in my 5 wood. Profoce 65 V2 is a low torque (3.0 and 2.9) shaft, it's a very stable shaft even you have a quick tempo and smash the ball hard, a great shaft. While Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue (not Red) is pretty stable but boadier than the V2. Saw it on GoldSmith that V2 is on sale now, it won't cost you more than $100 installed plus tax.
  17. The Re*Ax 49g 46 inches shaft on my 2009 Burner driver is certainly wimpy. Not a very good OEM shaft.
  18. Ai Miyazato, the LPGA player from Japan, has won 4 LPGA tournaments this year and is leading the Safeway Classic after 36 holes at -11. What's in her bag, Ball: TourStage X-01G+ Driver: TourStage X-Drive prototype, 9.5 degrees 3-wood: TourStage X-Drive 701, 15 degrees 5-wood: TourStage X-Drive 701, 18 degrees Hybrid clubs: TourStage F-UT, 20 degrees; TourStage X-UT 22 degrees Irons (5-PW): TourStage X-Blade GR C-1 prototype Wedges: TourStage X-Wedge 101 LB prototype (52, 58 degrees) Read More http://www.golfdigest.com/golf-tours...#ixzz0xJX2nPpD
  19. I like 52* gap, 56* sand and 60* lob wedge, although i don't carry a 60* wedge.
  20. I agree with that.
  21. Golf Galaxy, that's nice.
  22. How much did you pay for that fitting? It sounds like in a local pro shop doing for club fittings where they do them exclusively for living. My buddy's son has worked in that kind of pro shop for period of time, the shop is just plainly fitting clubs for you. It doesn't sell golf balls, gloves etc.
  23. $100 is well spent if that would find you a solid driver for yourself and improve your game.
