  1. Is there a list of “takes that can just go away” somewhere on the site so I can avoid getting on your lawn going forward? And if bolding and capitalizing a word isn’t yelling, try sending an email with a topic you don’t agree on to your boss, or his/her boss with a key word bolded and capitalized and see how that plays. Have a good one buddy.
  2. First, thanks for capitalizing and using bold print for the word “facts.” That was helpful. Second, it must be a “fact” that the score relative to par today had nothing to do with the quality of the entire US Open field vs the quality of the entire Memorial field on day one. Again, thanks for the text equivalent of yelling.
  3. As far as I can tell today it’s not even the toughest test of golf in the month of June.
  4. Toughest test in golf. Please…

  6. I will think more about this tomorrow while practicing with my cleek and mashie niblick. 😎
  7. 100% agree. A few rounds in humid weather and they feel like plastic.
  8. 60* wedge. I like clean grooves on my 50* and 60* but could care less about the grooves on my 56*.
  9. That’s a Golf Pride Tour Wrap grip. They’re relatively soft, absorb shock well, and feel pretty good. The con on them is they feel kind of dusty, for lack of a better word, after a few holes unless you bring a damp towel and keep them wiped down.
  10. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the word “golf” and the phrase “moment of truth” collide in the same sentence.
  11. I used to have a 21 degree Ping 7 wood, but it spun a lot and tended to come up short if there was any headwind or quartering wind. Replaced it with a 20* Adams Idea Pro Tour Prototype. Great hybrid and there are still some out there on eBay for decent prices (I think Langer still bags two of them).
  12. Partial to the Golf Pride CP2 Pro. Softer than a Tour Velvet and pretty durable (I play 5 times a week and they last a year or more with no issues).
  13. It’s to get a feel for the sensation of hitting the ball on the center of the club face and for hitting the ball straight. Golf is, my opinion, about hitting the center of the club face. A ball struck in the center of the face with a squared to the target club face is, again my opinion, the most important aspect of golf. It provides a feel like nothing else in golf. Swinging hard and striking the ball off the toe or heel of the club when you’re new to the game results in bad feeling shots that erode your confidence. Hitting fifty half-swing shots and nothing else at the range lets you get back in the car and sleep on a satisfying session. Remember, in order to play well, you must be confident. In order to be confident, you must play well 😎. Good luck.
  14. It was tongue in cheek attempted humor. It seems like when humor is attempted on most forums, everyone interprets everything so literally, much like Bob Newhart’s German stand up character who says “Why do you call this man Curly? He has no hair. And this man you call Tiny, he weighs at least three-hundred pounds.” Oh well.
