  1. Well, I found my driver shaft broken in the trunk of my car. It was a flexible shaft so it was easily brittle. I want to replace my driver shaft and tried to find a replacement shaft for it but with no luck. I bought it about 2 months ago so the money back option is no good. Can I find the matrix HD6 online somewhere? I couldn't find it anywhere.
  2. Excellent swing!
  3. I think it's because when you take your club back at parallel, your hands should be over your toes and your club head should be behind your head. Hands in, clubhead out. Watch Rickie Fowler's swing and see how he does it.
  4. Much, much better. I think you need to bring your hands in a little more at your setup. Just a tad bit. From your recent videos, you really look like you're standing closer to the ball. Also, you're still swinging OTT. Keep looking at how tour players swing the club on youtube. Look how they're literally taking the club up and then when they downswing, they swing flatter than their backswing. This helps you not strike at the ball but rather make a consistent, more power, accurate swing. Get that club to hit the ball from the inside, not the outside.
  5. Yes, your shoulder was also flat. I would like to see your updated swing and then I see if it is still OTT or not.
  6. You're also swinging over the top. Your backswing is flatter than your downswing. Try fixing that and you will have a much better club speed. Also, yes, change your tempo. Your backswing should be slower than your downswing.
  7. Wow, I really like reading through this thread and seeing the progress that you made. I thought the video you made during Christmas time and the recent videos were great. Your swing is definitely a 100% improved. I can tell that your swing is more of an outside in swing rather than the old inside out swing that you had.
  8. Okay, here is what I see. -You still need to stand closer to the ball. Even in your recent videos you still haven't done that. What you need to do is to watch this video of Rory Mcilroy using the driver and irons and see how he is at address. When he is using his driver, his hands are right under his head. When he is using a shorter club(irons), his hands are between his head and hip. This help keeps his golf shaft at 45 degree angle. -Also, your golf plane is incorrect. This top example shows exactly what you are doing. You need to bring your club straight up more and then swing down flatter, like in the bottom example. Hope that helps.
  9. Yup, it is a very nice swing. I don't think I see any flaws in there whatsoever. Just keep practicing and you'll be shooting even pars in no time.
  10. Okay, you have acknowledged that your plane is flat. That is a good step in the right direction. You have been taking lessons with your private instructor. Good. However, from your recent videos, I don't think you really understand how to swing a golf club. In order to swing the golf club, you must feel like Jim Furyk. Do you see how he swings the golf club in an overexaggerating sense? All golf pros bring the club almost straight up and then when they do the downswing, they swing flatter. You, on the other hand, swing the opposite way. You bring the club way out and then when you do the downswing, you force the club to swing way left as you hit the ball. I found this on google. The top example is exactly what you did in the videos, right to the point. You need to swing the opposite way of what you're doing, like Jim Furyk. But you don't have to swing like him, just lean towards his swing.
  11. From what I can tell from that angle, you're too far away from the ball. Bring it in a little bit. Also, you're not taking the club far back. You look a little too stiff. You need to take the driver's shaft to parallel to the ground.
  12. Yeah, at the range yesterday, with my new revised swing, I was pulling fading the ball. But they were ending up on target most of the time. I can see from watching that video that I am going over the top. After carefully analyzing my swing, it looks like when I do my backswing, my swing is flat(the butt end of the club is angled at about 2-3 feet away from the ball). During my downswing, the butt end of the club is angled straight at the ball. It should be the other way around. Right? Also, what I should feel when I do my backswing?
  13. Well I have been at the range for the first time since a while. What do you guys think?
  14. Tried moving the club back instead of being inside and then tried to choke up the club. However, I see my swing as kind of weird. WOuld anyone like to analyze my current swing?
  15. This is really going to hurt. I have been playing golf on and off for about 6 years. I have shot a 36 a couple of times, am a 9 handicap and I am about to change my swing. I have found out that my back swing is flat and inside but when it reaches the top, it is a perfect swing angle(45 degrees). Nobody really told me how to fix it but after watching a couple of videos on youtube and a really neat drill like this one I am starting to think that this will really help lower my handicap. The problem is after discovering the perfect swing plane and trying it out, it felt very stiff. I know that this week, my golf shots will be horrible and I have a long way to go before I get comfortable with it.
  16. After reviewing your video again, you also need to extend your arms after impact. You lose control of the ball when you don't extend your arms during your swing. Your arms must be fully extended at all time during your swing.
  17. From what I can tell, that's a good swing. I don't see any flaws other than you moving your head back a little. I think you need to post a video of your side. That will help me analyze your swing better and give you some good advice.
  18. Your hands at address are leaning back a bit. You can see this at the beginning of the video. Your hands need to be forward for more solid contact and control. I wouldn't be surprised if you're flipping the club at impact. Also, stop the video when you're at impact. Your right leg is straight. You also need to extend your left leg a little bit at impact. You lose a lot of power if you don't use your legs. Your Legs are the most important part of your golf swing. They help transfer the weight from your right foot to your left foot. Weight transfer is the number one priority you should be working on to help improve your golf swing. Check out this video to see what I mean. What I like about your swing is that your plane is very good. This is the part of the reason why you're a 15 handicap. Another part is that you keep your head still and behind the ball. That's good. I see big improvements if you simply work on transferring your weight to provide more power to your swing.
  19. Today I shot a 40 from the championship tees. Slope rating is 128, 71.8 course rating for 18 holes. Last week, I shot a 37 from the white tees, 70.5 course rating, 122 slope rating.
  20. Yeah dude, you're getting it messed up. Simply put, if you hit a ball out of bounds(ie white stakes along the boundary of the hole), you must hit a second ball from where you hit that already lost ball. You don't get a mulligan. You're actually getting penalized for hitting a ball out of bounds and dropping another ball. That's two strokes already added to your score. Harsh penalty, but it makes sense. If you hit a ball into a hazard(ie red stakes, ponds, rivers, natural habitats), you can drop the ball within two club lengths from where the ball entered the hazard. Hope that explained it best.
  21. This year, probably around 90 dollars. I never buy tees(I find them around tee boxes anyway) and I bought probably around 30 golf balls this year. I don't lose as much golf balls as I used to, thanks goodness. My golf set includes a Titleist 905R driver and woods that I bought 7 years ago. Still doing fine but I think I will need a new driver since I'm not hitting golf balls farther than 260 yards. Probably because its shaft is not stiff. Also it includes Ping G5 irons that I also bought 7 years ago. My scotty cameron putter I bought about 3 years ago is still doing fine. I have shot 36s with these clubs and I'm afraid of losing my golf game if I get new clubs.
  22. Never do a half swing. That can worsen your tempo. Try to choke down on the grip if you're looking to hit about 5-10 yards less than what the club is supposed to bring you to.
  23. Keep track of your playing partner(s). I had this done to me a while ago and I wished I should have tracked their score on my scorecard. Even one stroke sets you back a long way!!!
  24. Yeah, you're not rotating your hip at all. It seems very fixated. Probably that's why someone else said that it's an armsy swing.
  25. You know you're right. You really do suck at golf. You even suck more than my grandma. Quit golf, man. (Is this really what you want to hear? Then stop creating these breakdown threads and bringing more stress upon us. Just play golf. One lesson is not going to get you to breaking 90(or 80). I worked my butt off to get below 80 consistently and it takes work.) Nothing comes easy in life. Just remember that, man.
