  1. I had the same decision about a year but with the 800pro. I loved the way the 53's felt but the 800pro were more suitable for my game. I play at 10 and take the game pretty serious and I'm continuing to improve and still feel that the 800pro are the suitable irons for me.
  2. Harbor Links in Port Washington and Willow creek in Mount Sinai are great public courses.
  3. Sergio Garcia -4 Tiger Woods -4 Luke Donald -4
  4. 1. Sergio Garcia -11 2. Keegan Bradley -11 3. Jason Duffner -11
  5. My wife and I are expecting our first so I'm playing at least twice a week. I'm trying to get as much playing time as I can because I'lll be divorcing golf soon with only occasional weekend visitation rights.
  6. Sergio Garcia -13 Luke Donald -12 Rory M. - 10
  7. My buddy was ripped off when buying R9 irons (turned out to be fakes) so I made a decision to pay a little extra and buy new stuff from a reputable reseller. R11 Driver $300 R11 3 Wood $200 Adams Idea SUPER SS Hybrid 19 $199 Mizuno 800 Pro 4-G Irons $699 Cleveland CG15 56 & 60 $99 each Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 $180 - only used item I purchased My wife bought me the Driver for our anniversary and Irons for my BDay.
  8. Went in with the intentions of buying Taylormode RBZ 19 deg hybrid but after trying a few other hybrids and I ended up buying the Adams Super Hybrid and so far I love it.
  9. Shot an 82 yesterday. Putted really well. Got up and down 5 times. Driver has sucked lately and once that improves I can play a little better.
  10. Congrats, I'm a big fan of the SGX and it's a great device to own. Enjoy.
  11. Halle Berry, Shakira, Jessica Alba and Me of course. And yes, they all play golf.
  12. Entered, best of luck everyone.
  13. Sorry to inform you but this will be a problem for you. I went through the same exact issue last year. I bought an sgx from a guy on Craigslist and it turned out to be reported as "lost" as well. I reached out to skycaddie and after many calls and many attempts they said the ONLY way I would be able to use the device was if the registered owner released the device. At the end I opted to give skycaddie my information and have the registered owner contact me so I can return it. When the registered owner emailed me I explained to him the situation and I emailed him the posting and d-bags contacts info from which I bought the device from. I offered to return it but asked for a small portion of what I paid so I wouldn't take a complete loss. He actually had insurance on it and already had another replacement sgx so he was kind enough to call skycaddie to release the device. Then and only then I was able to register the device. Best of luck and keep us updated.
  14. 1) Woods -13 2) Donald -11 3) Garcia -10
  15. Thanks, hope I can do it again in the near future.
  16. I've been so close so many times but never had an eagle until yesterday. It was on the first hole a 493 yard Par 5. I hit a terrific drive which was just off the fairway on the rough on the right hand side. The lie was pretty good and it was a little down wind so I decided to hit a strong 6 iron and let the wind give it a ride. I hit the 6 iron flush with a slight fade right towards the pin and I ended up about 2 feet from hole for a tap in Eagle. I then followed up with my first round in 70's with a 78 and it could have been much better because I 3 putted on 3 holes and made a couple other mistakes. I've shot in the lows 80's several times and been on the green on 2 but never manage a round in the 70's or an eagle and yesterday I did both. Can't be any happier today.
  17. I'm also from LI and agree. There's a few 9 holes courses around here and many of the players are beginners so you will feel comfortable. Right now it's an ideal time to play because of the courses are not as full as in the summer. Get out there and play and enjoy yourself.
  18. They are so terrible that I love them. Well maybe, I don't know. Regardless good for you for posting and being happy with them. I love how honest everyone is being, it's cool.
  19. I'm itching to do the same. I'll probably take a half day this week and play a full 18 with my buddies. It's almost scary how nice it has been.
  20. I just got rid of my Calloway x-20 tour and bought the 800 pro. I could not be any happier. I'm a 12 handicap and hit them extremely well from day one. You will not be disappointed. I would like anything else get fitted and make sure that you get the appropriate shaft. This was the first set of clubs I was fitted for and I think that makes a big difference as well.
  21. My wife bought me the jpx 800 pros for my Bday and I absolutely love them. I just finished playing 7 rounds in Puerto Rico. Back to NY now but with this weather I should still be able to play once a week.
  22. I'm a 12 handicap myself and went from Callaway x20 tour to Mizuno 800 pro and absolutely love them. I hit a bunch of clubs and really wanted to go with the mp53 but the 800 pro were just worked out to be the perfect ones for me. I highly recommend them.
  23. I too am very impressed and will absolutely give them a shot with my next purchase. Pretty darn cool that the owner responded.
  24. Just because you're no good doesn't mean you can't look good doing it.
