My Swing (Golfprofi1234)

2 posts in this topic

I've been Playing Golf for: 3,5 years

My current handicap index or average score is: 15

My typical ball flight is: straight and medium height

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: fat, hook

Videos:

Hey guys! I am 15 years old and I have a big problem, that I already struggle with for like 3 years. It's about kicking in the right knee too early in the downswing (and having the weight too much on the right side at impact).

My teacher already told me that this is my only cause for my fat shots (I don't have much lag because I think I am a bit behind the ball @ Impact), but he doesn't really know how to fix it. I often hit fat shots, and I am very unconsistant in my opinion.

If I try to only pull down my arms in the downswing and not use my legs, I even more shift the weight to the right side in the downswing, which causes even fatter shots! Please help me as good as you can, I often think of stop playing golf because of my bad shots)

Thank you so much!

Your club head is passing your hands through impact. I cannot copy the still shots on my ipad but the frame before impact and at impact show this clearly. Look up "flat left wrist" on the 5 Keys Video thread. Also try hitting punch shots with your hands ahead with your weight into your left side into an abbreviated finish trying to keep the hands ahead to promote a more delayed release. You have a lot of good things going on, but the early release is the issue.
