I recently purchased a Maltby CT250 8° head, and I am trying to decide what shaft to put in this. I currently play a 9.5° TM Superquad with a VS Proto Stiff. My ball flight with my current set up is a mid to high draw. I bought this head to get my flight down, but I don't want it low. So I was thinking of getting a mid to high launching shaft.

Am I way off with my thinking? I know it is hard to suggest shafts, heads, etc. with out seeing my swing and LM stats. I do know my average swing speed is 104 mph.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar swing speed but use a higher lofted head. I still like the NVS stiff shaft that I stupidly got rid of (and the Rapture it was in) and currently am liking the BB Soltuions 130 stiff shaft. I'm getting a SK Fiber stiff flex for my BUL (see sig) since they are cheap and supposed to be excellent. I like a softer tip shaft. Lot's of choices out there.

what was your ball flight with the NVS compared to the BB solutions? What are the flight characteristics of the BB solutions? low/mid/high?

Quote since you bought a maltby head why don't you take a look at the shafts offered in their catalogue. They are rated by kick point, torque, tip stiffness and player category.

My ball flight with the NVS was mid-high. With the BB Solutions (rated as mid-launch) silmilar but not "quite" as high. More penetrating and rolls out nice.
