Anybody have/had/ever played these? There is not a Nickent dealer within 200+ miles, but I am looking for a player improvement set and wondering if these fit the bill, and if they are good quality. Here is a link for the set I am talking about

Yea, the Rockbottom emails are what have had me wondering about them, even before they were the "special" price.

Wow, I cant seem to find these without graphite shafts, which is kind of frustrating. My buddy had some irons (Golden Bears) with graphite shafts that I hit once and I felt so inconsistent with them. Back to looking I guess

I play these in stiff graphite and let me tell you I have no problem with constantly producing the same results. Only time they let me down is when I put a VERY bad swing on them. You really can't mishit these unless you are trying to. Go for it, the irons alone will make you happy but these great hybrids are a huge plus.

they only come with graphite shafts.
3DX combo (red back) or 3DX RC comes with steel or graphite shaft.
Personally, I like 3DX Pro.

3DX Square driver is very forgiving.

3DX square is nice for the price but it kind of has a light/cheap feel to it. It's easy to get the ball up in the air but even with the closed face I still slice it as much as my old R5 dual N.

yeah. even thought it's very forgiving, you still have to put a good swing to it. i meant forgiving as you can hit the all all over the club face and the ball will still go relatively straight if you make a good swing.

I have both the 3DX iron set and 3DX square driver. Love the irons, they are great. Hybrids are amazing and veyr forgiving. Driver read great reviews, tried it, bought it. Now i dont like it very much it doesnt help that much and a good swing must be put on it to get the ball up in the air. Teeing the ball higher does help with this.

I just purchased this same set from tgw. I thought I was getting graphite shafts, but when they arrived they were steel shafts on the 5-pw irons. The hybrids were graphite, which I like.

The other wierd thing about my order was that I ordered a left-handed set which was to include the 3 and 4 hybrid, and the 5-pw irons. However, they sent a 5 hybrid instead of a 4, which was fine but wasn't what I was expecting.

Hmm, maybe I need to place a call to TGW to see if they have anymore kicking around.

I also should have mentioned that the clubs are great. I really like the progression that they use from the 3 hybrid all the way down to the PW. I played this weekend and if it wasn't for the guy (me) at the end of the club, they'd have been perfect.

I should also give credit to tgw. I ordered mine on July 2, and they were at my doorstep on July 3 with the $5 shipping. Can't beat that service.

I tried ordering the lefthanded version on these on TGW, and it brings up 2 diff shafts (I am assuming telling you steel for iron, graphite for hybrid), so I see how you got yours. At least I know they are out there, its just that these clubs have been around for a couple years now (I even found a review from this site dated August 2006!

http://thesandtrap.com/equipment/clu...d_irons_review ) So now I just need to find a righthanded set with the steel shafts.
