Want to hear from folks about your opinion on best value golf and was there a way to garner better than average joe rate. I'll throw out a couple avenues for everyone to pursue.
1] Played Wolf Creek in Nevada by calling a guy who advertised Last Minute Golf. You could only get a teetime day before after course closed. So not much time. But Me and a bud paid less than half and we got first teetime too.
2]Have played numerous times using EZLINKS. Check out their list and if a course in your area on use the Name Your Price....Great deals. Best I got was $75 at Ritz Orlando while everyone else was paying $205.
3]Ebay teetimes. Actually have grabbed teetimes at Private highly rated courses...Black Diamond, Caves Valley, Wannamoisset and a few others at good deals.
Lastly my top 3 Best bang for buck....Haven't been to Jones Trail so can't..
1]Bandon..half of going over pond.
2]Black Bethpage....At $150 outta state still a bargain
3]World Wood off season...at least off season in FL...which is in for most

The best golf deal I had was in 2001 when I meet a friend from the U.K. in Bangkok. We had booked a package. They sent a driver with a van and tour guide to pick us up at our Bangkok hotel, drove us 2 hours to Pattaya and took us to the first course we were to play. We were droped at the door and was shown around by our guide (locker room, resteraunt, pro shop, etc.) when they announced our name we went out to find our clubs on carts and our caddies ready to go. Upon return we had a drink and lunch. As we came out of resteraunt the guide was on a cell phone. When we got to the front door the van was waiting. Our clubs had been cleaned and were in the van. Our guide asked if we needed to go anyplace. We were then taken to our hotel and checked in. We were told what time were would be picked up the next morning.

For the next three days after a wonderful buffet breakfast in the hotel we were picked up and taken to a different course. The driver took care of unloading our clubs and then cleaning them and returning them to the van. We could ask to go where ever we wanted and then taken to hotel. On the
5th day we were meet taken to a 5th course and then taken to our destination in Bangkok.

The cost for the package, transportation, hotel with breakfast, golf, carts, caddies was $367.

WE are planning a return in 2010.

Yes I agree, Golf in Thailand is well catered for and when you play here you are well looked after, see some of the golf on my youtube, it will give you an idea of the quality for small money.
