I was looking at wedges to buy and quite like the look of the mizuno range and have across these knock-down prices.

Can anyone tell me which are better for a mid-high handicapper? I know the obvious answer is the mx wedge, but I really think I have quite a reasonable short game, and can open up the face of my PW to get out of bunkers 9/10and have been coping with adjusting my one wedge so far.

Miz MP R Black Nickel - £50

Miz MR T WS Chrome - £50

MX Wedge (most expensive) - £60

All with 55-56 and 12-14 bounce.

Thanks for any advice or experiences you have.

I went with the MP R wedges as they looked more like my MP 60 irons. I really like them and actually prefer the forged wedge over the cast wedges like Titleist and Cleveland.

Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?

I got a 56/14 MP-R in black nickel for £40 which is about $25 on clearance :D Should be here in a few days and they kind of go with my MX-25 as far as make at least!

I carry a MP-T and MP-R and really like both wedges a lot. They have a great feel, although they do not spin as much as my old Vokey or Cleveland CG14. I think the MP-R is a better wedge for bunker play, thin lies or rough (the leading edge is slightly curved), but the MP-T is better out of the fairway (flatter leading edge on that model).

I think you'll be happy with your new wedge.
