Shaft recommendation

Thread Starter
Hi all,

Looking for a new shaft to either fit my current driver (Ping G10 10.5) or a new one and wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Looking for a Mid launch, responsive shaft. Don't like a boardy feel. Preferably low spin, but that's not normally much of a problem. Swing speed is probably somewhere near to or just over 100 mph so stiff flex is probably right. I have a reasonably smooth tempo.

Obviously fitting is the best thing, but as I have access to a Titleist fitting trolley, I'd like to shortlist without having to go through every shaft. Will probably be testing them in a 909D2 head.

Cheers,
James

Re: Shaft recommendation

For what you said, I would have to reccomend you a Mitsubishi blueboard diamana shaft. It is a mid launch shaft with lower spin then most. I have a "special" version in my titliest 3 wood and hybrid and they are wonderful, I will probably get my driver replaced to it at the upcoming PING demo day.

I just went through researching just about every shaft there is to buy, which was exactly what your looking for (Mid Launch, responsive staff Stiff)I mostly concentrated on shafts under 80$. I have just about the same swing description my SS is a bit higher (104-112). My list would prob be:

1: Blueboard
2: ProForce V2 (I own model 6060 Stiff) it would fit your SS perfectly, it is a touch soft for me.
3: Graphite Design Pershing 75 Stiff. In the mail now I get it Tuesday.
4:Possibly: Aldila DVS Stiff >60g
5:Grafalloy ProLauch Axis Red Stiff
