New irons, might go back to steel?

Hey all: I've been using Golfsmith Python XL irons with Grafalloy Attack light shafts for the last 2 1/2 years. The attack light's are a 66 gm shaft and my 5i is 361 gm total weight.  I got some Titleist wedges last year and I like the way they feel and play but they're much heavier than my irons so now I'm looking at trying something new, maybe a heavier weight iron would fit better with the transition from PW to GW.  I'm a sweeper with an 18 handicap, 52 years old, 34* 7i for 150 carry+roll.  My iron miss used to be a slice but over the last 2 years my miss has changed to a straight pull left, my 2nd most common miss is a left pull with a hook.  I'm thinking about getting away from the large offset of my Pythons, (5i, 5 mm), but staying with a low center of gravity GI type club to keep my ball flight up.

So, here's what I tried out on the monitor at my local golf shop, all 6i's all steel shaft:

Mizuno JPX 800, TT DG R300: liked the ball flight, had a comfortable heft and great feel, liked it.

Callaway FT Nippon uniflex, head taped up: low flight but straight, felt heavy/clubby, stiff, ick.

Callaway X-22 TT HL uni:  pulled and/or hooked every shot, med/heavy feel, stiff.

Tour Edge XCG-3 KBS tour reg, head taped up:  nice flight, heavy clunky stiff, not terrible, just not real good.

Cobra FP Nippon NS pro reg:  nice long flight, nice weight, great feel, I'm going to take it out on the course as soon as the weather gets better, it could be a keeper.

Two irons I hit in the store and borrowed to take to the course yesterday.

Cobra S9 Nippon NS pro reg:  nice flight,  hooked/pulled a few, longest, little bit heavy but good feel.

Titleist AP-1 Nippon NS pro 105 reg:  good flight, no pulls/hooks, little bit lighter, great feel.  I like this club, it's irrational because it doesn't hit any further or straighter than the Mizuno, FP or S9 but I just like it.

Any comments?  Anything else I should look at?  Anything stupid I'm overlooking?

Well, if the Titleist is just as good as any of the others for you and for whatever reason you like them better, I think you have your answer.

Do you mean "anything" like trying to diagnose and cure some obvious swing flaws before sinking money into a new set of irons? Nope.
