I fall into this category.  I do everything right handed except swing a golf club, baseball bat and I longboard from a lefty stance.

My father is the same way and my brother is exactly the opposite.

I was curious if anyone else out there falls into this same boat.  Also, does anybody have any speculation as to what effects this could have on a swing?

yea I do the same thing.  I swing left handed in baseball and golf (can switch hit in baseball though) but I throw, write and basically do everything else right handed.  I also snowboard with a goofy stance instead of a regular stance.  My dad was fully left handed though and my mom is fully right handed.

I really don't think it would affect the swing that much.  I mean it could improve your swing by having more control or feel with your top hand, or it could do the opposite.  But I personally don't think that it has any noticeable negative/positive effects.

I'm kinda in the same boat as you guys. I write, eat, brush my teeth leftty and throw and golf righty. My right arm is stronger while my left is better at precision stuff. I do some diy electronics and use my left hand to solder, but I use my right to snip wires.

I'm weird.

I throw right handed but started golf and played left-handed for 8 years.  My brother, who primarily taught me, thought the stronger arm in front would be better, and Hogan had his dominant arm in front. I always batted left-handed in baseball, but am clearly a right handed person.  One day a golf pro suggested I try right handed to develop a better short game since he (right or wrong) thought the control  arm should be on the back side to develop the best touch on iron shots and in the short game.  So I switched to right handed golf and have played that way for decades.  Funny thing... golf teaching pros tell me I need to be more right handed since my right handed swing is sort of left hand dominanted -- at least I have been told that. The good news I can turn a 3 iron over backwards and make a decent left-handed shot when needed.

I'm here with you brother. Same for me exactly. Although I do play tennis lefthanded too because my mom taught me and she is lefty. Everything my dad taught me I do righthanded.

So nobody has found that having the dominate hand on top can cause a slice or pushing the ball to the left (for a left handed golfer)?  I've battled those as long I've played golf and can't seem to mend the issue.  Granted, I've never put in the time that I should put in to improve my swing but I was just curious to see if anyone had discovered that putting the dominate hand on top caused more slicing issues than putting it on the bottom.
