So when I was fitted for my R11 this winter, I was told my swing speed was 90-95, so I was put in a regular shaft (this sounded low to me, but...... that's why we get fitted, right?)

yesterday, I went to a Bridgestone ball fitting and was told my swing speed was consistently 103-107.

1. Is this too fast for a regular shaft, and what are the chances I can get it switched out?

2. What's the chance that either fitting was off? I tend to trust the faster swing speed more, but don't have a valid reason other than vanity, I guess. Seems like there might be a lesson here, that it's not a good idea to get fitted during a time of year when you're not playing any golf?

If it is actually 103-107 then you need stiff... at 90-95 you are kind of on the borderline of stiff and regular...  If you weren't really playing much when you got fitted this winter, that could explain the difference in speed as well as maybe the calibration of the machines being slightly off.

I would try and find an outdoor range that has some R11 demos and try some different shafts and just see what feels the best and what gives you the best results outside. SS can be a good indicator for shaft flex, but no 2 companies are the same when it comes to flex. One's regular could be another's stiff. Also, as much as SS is a factor and shaft flex, swing quality comes into play just as much. I have seen many players with fast swings not be able to hit S or X shafts simply because they don't have the proper timing or swingpath. I have also seen many people who don't have a fast SS use X shafts very well because they are always able to square the club on the proper path. I have also seen players use R shafts and swing hard. It just depends on the timing of the swing and what happens when the head meets the ball. I would say to try and forget the data for a moment and just try and hit some balls outside with different shafts. If you know what you are wanting out of a club, no better way than to just hit a bunch and see what works the best. Then maybe take that info and get data on it to see if the numbers pan out.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I think for a shaft that isn't stiff enough for your swing all things being equal, the ball will go right.  But I could be wrong.  I just picked up a set of Howson irons today via USPS and these are regular flex in graphite.  My swing speed is around 90-93 mph pretty consistently but it is smooth.  The only noticeable difference I detect in these vs say my Fifesole in stiff graphite is being able to feel the kick of the shaft more in the Howson's than the Firesoles.  I don't detect a noticeable flight path/trajectory differences in the irons so go figure.  thanks

If a Shaft is not stiff enough for my swing, what will be the typical result?

For me, too weak and the ball goes high and left. Too stiff and the ball goes low and to the right. I don't know if that is a general rule for everyone, but it is the case for me.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.
