Has anyone ever swapped shafts with R11 3 wood and driver? I own both and was contemplating mixing it up at the range just to see what the effect would be. Does anyone know if this would potentially damage the shafts or what my expected results should be (3 wood in driver shaft, and driver in 3 wood shaft)?

In the bag:

TaylorMade R11 Driver (10.5 stiff stock shaft)

TaylorMade R11 3wood (15 degree stiff stock shaft)

Adams IdeaPro 3i hybrid (20 degree)

Cleveland CG15 wedges (52, 56, 60)

Odyssey White-Hot 2-Ball (Superstroke oversize grip)

The 3-wood in the driver shaft will be far too whippy and everything will slice off about 80yds. It won't work unless you are using a driver shaft that is WAY too stiff for you.

Driver in a 3-wood shaft I've never tried, but I can't think of a reason why it would be the disaster that the 3-wood on a driver shaft would be, in all likelihood.

It won't damage the shafts the R11 tips make it super easy to swap shafts in and out.  I don't know what the effect would be, I can see the benefits of a shorter driver but I can't see any benefit of a super long 3W.  A shorter driver should help with control but you'll sacrifice distance.  I guess that a longer 3W could create more distance from a longer shaft but be harder to control.
