Sandy Lyle "Limited" Irons (3I through PW)

Hello Everyone, & Happy Holidays.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

 

I reside in Tucson, Arizona & there is a gentleman in my neighborhood selling a set of Mizuno Sandy Lyle Irons (3I - PW)

 

On the club heads it reads: Sandy Lyle *Limited*

 

Does anyone know when Mizuno released these? And for the $30 asking price for the set, are they worth picking up and playing with? I just started picking up the game this year, and am 29 years old. Just want to make sure this is worth it, and if I will still be able to get good distance, control, etc. with these, as my swing is on point.

 

Clubs look to be in great shape, grooves are good, and shafts are nice as well. Mizuno grips etc.

 

Any insight on the history, & quality would be much appreciated.

 

Again $30.00 is the asking price. Just looking for a good buy, & a good set to play well with and effectively with on the links

I ended up buying the set, like I said earlier in my post, the irons look to have been lightly used, & for $30.00, I couldn't pass it up. I have only been playing now for a few months, & was using an off-brand set a friend of my father's gave me, so I wanted to step it up a bit. Sandy Lyle coincedently is also one of my favorite golfer's so this set really suits me on a couple of diff. facets.

 

I used em today & everything feels smooth. I will post some videos hopefully soon, & let everyone critique my swing.

well done.....if i remember they were a cavity back iron with a fairly rounded toe, like the old ping karsten?
