A little history first. I have been playing G5s with Reg CS Lites for quite awhile but I was really getting some balloons. Tried a set of G2s with a Z-Z65 shaft. Liked it but through the years I feel my swing is much better (not trying to pick the ball up) so ebayed a set of I5s with Z-Z65s and cushions. I have no trouble hitting the narrower I5s and really like the less offset as well. My 150 yard club is my 6 iron so I don't know if the Z-Z65 are a little much for my swing. They feel good and my ball flight is much lower. One last thing, I am a big USA supporter so the 5s are the last generation of Pings or any irons I have purchased...but the G25s have really caught my eye. Here are the two questions I hope some of you may help me with. 1. I just hit a demo 7 iron with CFS in reg. Simulator shows around 160 yd shots with carry about 150. Granted the 7 is 32 degree where the 5s are 34. I hit a stiff about the same. Couldn't tell much difference for distance or dispersion. For that distance, do you have recommendations or flex? The demo felt great. 2. The stiff I hit was from a fitting box where the different heads fits different shafts. The regular was an actual demo. The stiff felt very harsh compared to the reg. would this be from the shaft or could it also be the difference in the assembly of the club? Thanks.
