Recently I bought GolfReflection's swing monitor for my son to use to help him practice in our backyard as well as practicing on the range or even when he's playing a practice round.  With good lesson and the usage of this device, I see great improvement in the fundamental of his swing in the last couple of months.  I think even though the price of this device is a bit high, but I think it is actually quite worth it because he's no longer wasting my money in taking lessons which pretty much teaches the same thing over and over again because he couldn't quite master the things taught in previous lessons.  Now he's much more effective on practicing the things taught in the lesson.

Anyone else has seen or use this device and has any feedback?

Yes, this device was recommended to me by my GolfTec instructor.  I think it is very helpful if you are working on something new in your swing, also great to use inside my house when it is raining or snowing outside.  very well made......

Am I reading the product description correctly - It's basically a stand that holds your smart phone, with which you can record your swing?  Sounds revolutionary.

yes, I agree the concept is certainly not earth shaking; it is more of convenience tool.  However, with video recording being so popular these days, it is indeed a good compliment to it as you can set up to do self recording literally in 3 - 5 seconds.  I'm also using it with my swingbyte2.... good to swing and see your stats/swing path at the same time.  Sometimes I also use it like a tv stand, practicing and watching the game on my smartphone at the same time....

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
