i just recently bought 2 titleist vokey wedges. 1 is a 52 with 8 bounce, the other is a 56 with 10 bounce. is 10 a good enough or would a higher bounce of say 14 be a better choice for overall play considering these are my only 2 wedges??

here is a good piece on wedges that will give you a better understanding on what you may or may not need:

personally less bounce is good for me. I am more of a 'slider' than a 'digger'. out of most green side bunkers i use a 60deg with 4deg of bounce.

I don't even carry a 56 anymore.

I think you'll be fine with what you have. more matters on what type of player you are and the overall conditions of the places you play.

tough question... to me, it really depends on the condition which you are playing, what you intend to you the club for as well as the way you swing.

On firmer courses, i tend to prefer a club with a little less bounce just so it gets trough the turf easier, however, on wetter days, having more bounce can be a hindrance and cause of many fat shots in you don't strike the ball pure.

I tend to have low bounce on my 60 as it really only use it around the green and always out of the sand so i can slide it through much easier.

If you have a sweeping type of swing, which probably isn't too desirable with shorter clubs away, then i guess having low bounce lets you slide under the ball better, but as stated previously, it really does increase the risk of hitting a lot of balls fat.

All in all, the 3 wedges i carry are all standard as it almost gives the best of both worlds. Although i do have low bounce on my 60 purely due to the way i play. Hope this helps... not much you can do about it now anyways !!!
