I'm looking at getting the #1 style and was curious if anyone has tested them; both on a real green and seen any difference.

Thanks

i'm interested in hearing a reply on this also. I'm looking at the #5. Also, what about the difference between the regular and center-shafted?

I prefer the WS model personally although they don't quite offer the model I'd like (2ball with black stripe). The all plastic insert felt funny to me, very soft - having played a course with PGA-like greens though it might have been handy there.

It's all going to come down to what "you" like to feel. Personally i went with the White Hot XG #6. I have never tried a White Hot XG #6 on a real green (only on synthitic in the store) but have hit a White Steel #1 on a real green and i prefer the "feel" of the White Hot.

They say feel is mostly sound, i tend to agree. The White Steel sounds and feels "harder" when compared to the White Hot. I find the White Steel feels more "solid" but i prefer the softer feel of the White Hot.

Good Luck finding what you're after.

I prefer using the White Steel model because the insert on the XG is too soft for me, however many people like it. Try and find a place where you can try them out.
