I am on vacation this week in Cocoa Beach, FL. We’re in an Airbnb right on the beach, the good kind that is. No sand wedge required.
So far today, we’ve walked about 3 miles on the beach and picked up a bunch of trash.
Why would we walk the beaches picking up trash on our vacation? I can’t stand to see task on the beach. The beer cans can be deadly to sea life too. It also gives me much needed exercise. I am also not thinking about servers or code.
It's definitely on the light side. From the research I've done, putter heads tend to fall between 290-340 grams, with the heavier end becoming more and more common. I like a lighter putter, but if I were to make this in larger quantities, I would probably add about 50 grams back in.
I'm tooling around with a version that has an aluminum insert and a much bigger body, so that I could get more mass in the heel and toe, but I want to finish this iteration first
The end goal is to make a putter -- past that, I don't really have any expectations! I like making things, but in my professional life the work I do doesn't really have an end point, and having project that I can "finish" has been a lot of fun.
I definitely agree RE: the specialness of any particular putter. I like the design I have and I think it'll look cool when it's done. But who know! I might hate it when it's actually out in the world. I've got a few friends and family who want one a
