$1 Bin Clubs

Put a Sunday bag together just for fun out of $1 bin at local play it again sports . I have metal shafted Taylormade preferred Burner plus driver and 3 wood. Old Wilson anser style putter mizuno 5 wood Old King Cobrs pw. Played 9 holes and was only 5 over and a lot of fun. Anyone else wanna try this.

That sounds like a fun idea. Four guys each put together a $10 max set of used clubs from Play it Again, (I'm partial to Good Will or Salvation Army myself), and play a round.                  I like the way you think, Krazy. If I lived down your way I'd be in for sure!

A friend of mine, who has never played golf, asked me to put a set together for him.  I got him a bag, a set of irons, a driver, two fairways, a sand wedge, and a putter, for 35 dollars.  Golf doesn't have to be expensive.  Not the equipment anyways.  Most people don't invest the time it takes to get their head around what the game requires...and chase after the magic clubs.  That is a fool's errand.

That's pretty much how I started.  Played them for a couple years.  Put a set together from a couple goodwill and local donation type places.
