I've narrowed my search for new clubs down to Callaway X-16s..
I've noticed I can get a set of X-16 "pros" for about $20 less and there are more of them out there for sale.

My biggest concern is that the "pros" will be more geared to a golfer with more experience and that I will get frustrated with them.

Is there any real difference between the regular X-16s and the "pros?"

Pro sets aren't offset as much if at all, so the longer clubs become harder to hit. Also, in some sets there are OS (over sized) versions of standard clubs, where the standards are called pros. Some pro sets are also thinner, meaning a smaller top line and heal, than regular sets which make them less forgiving.

Yep...

Generally they have smaller faces, less offset, thinner topline, more traditional lofts, etc. and are marketed toward the lower handicapped or traditionally minded players.
