Hello - can anyone recommend a good, economical and accurate ($100 or less) swing weight scale.

A link to a good method of discerning swing weight without using a scale might work as well.
Thanks!

Hey and thanks - do I need a postal scale or is this unit self contained?

This is good for swing weight measurements. As a scale it is not that accurate except for overall club weight.  If you want to weigh, let’s say lead tape strips, you need a better scale. Some of the lead tapes on that site are set to weigh a certain about per inch. So you can measure 1 inch of tape and know what the weight you are adding to the head will be.

What I do is place the club on the scale and set it to my desired swing weight, then place the tape on the head lightly to see if it is enough. If so, it then put the tape all the way on.

  • iacas changed the title to Swing Weight Scale

Why not just take the club to your local golf store and spend nothing other than time and gas? I'm sure they have a swingweight scale and will allow you to use it. Some years ago, I wanted to shorten a Driver. I needed to know the swingweight before I did that, and took it to a local golf shop. I asked if they had a scale, and could I use it I was never turned down.

I just realized that I don't know how far away your nearest golf shop is. I see you are in the Rocky Mountain west.
