I found this site not too long ago and have been checking it out more and more recently so I will give you all an idea of who I am.

I have been playing golf for probably between 15-18 years. In the last couple of seasons I have really started to get more serious about it again and have started improving quite a bit. I have just started establishing a handicap this season and right now it is down to a 12.2. It has been steadily decreasing with every revision since I first established it.

I also got some new clubs this season and am really starting to get more comfortable with them and starting to really like them. It had been about 10 years since I last got any new clubs so it was quite a change at first. They were custom fit to me by my Pro and when I went to pick them up he made some pretty big swing changes so that made the new clubs even harder to get used to but it is really starting to come around again.

I really love golf and at this point can not get enough of it--I'm sure it is the same for many of you guys also.

So that is a little about myself, If you guys have any questions about me feel free to ask.

    • Shot 50/41 today. I didn't hit the ball particularly well but not as poorly as the score would indicate. I just happened to hit it in some really punishing places that wound up taking one or two strokes just to hit back into play. The undergrowth and the fescue are really growing in at the course. Lipped out and burned a few edges on putts, too. I always say when I miss putts by that small a margin that they're eventually going to drop as long as I don't deviate from the process and that's exactly what started happening on the back 9. I ended up making a couple of mid-length putts. Five over on the back included a triple bogey on 17.
    • Birdied the par 5 #14 at Quail Brook GC. Hit a high draw 3W just short of the green on my second shot, chipped just right of the back right flag to about 12' and made the putt. It's starting to look like I'm going to get at least 20 rounds at Quail Brook for it to qualify as my home course but I've been adding the birdies there to my away composite for so long that I don't feel like separating it all now. So the away composite will simply be an aggregate of all my birdie holes for the year.

    • Day 1 - First chipping and pitching. Focus on a better grip, the fundamentals and taking the club back on plane, not outside. Feels good. Then some full swings. Focus on improving the setup. Weight more forward, more bent over, and same grip stuff.
    • Congrats on the improvement. Cheers for lots of continued improvement in the future. IMO you've gotta get away from these spots… Those are partly "results" as the work will begin on things earlier in the swing. Good luck.
