i shoot pool left handed, shoot a rifle left handed, but i think thats because my left eye is the dominant one, has anyone ever heard of that? i golf right handed but i think i should putt lefty, i suck at putting

Same with me. I am a lefty for eating, writing, shooting pool, and right handed for golf and most other sports. I am also left eye dominate.

However being left eye dominant and right handed golfer is actually an advantage or so I have read. Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods are both left eye dominant. I dont think it has helped me though..

Being able to throw right and left handed skillfully is quite a feat, especially for competitive baseball. Did you start throwing both ways while you were fairly young?

Yeah, I threw my arm out (right) as a kid, started throwing lefty and then it became a thing with throwing with both arms.

Throw: left (I have throw lefty in softball before when I had a torn ACL in my right arm.  I was the catcher and would get cursed out by the pitcher when the ball did not reach him, but I got better))

Bat: left

Drive: left

Bowl: either

Tennis: I haven't really tried, but I may use both hands (switch the racquet as needed)

Skip rocks on the water: left and right

Horsehoes: left

My grandfather was a highly-successful surgeon.  He was also an avid hunter.  He injured his right hand with one of his guns.  He ended up doing all of his surgeries with his left hand.

Yes! I was just watching a football game and thought to myself as I often do that I bat Lefty and golf righty. I'm 58 and I have all my life. Although I haven't batted for real and probably 40 years except an occasional softball game. But I think I always golfed righty because my dad was a golfer and he was right-handed and he thought that I should just golf that way. But it's funny that every once in a while I practice a bat swing and a golf swing and I'm always interested in why this was the case

    • Day 292: light day today. Mirror work, working on getting my hips more open in the downswing.
    • Day 135 (27 Apr 24) - played Bradford Creek today while waiting for the missus fly in from her extended visit with the grands.  Good day to stay focused as it was a hurry up (groups pressing from behind) and wait (groups taking their time ahead)…a good day to stay mentally in the game - play the shot and not get frustrated in the waiting…
    • Day 122: 4/27/24 Supposed to be a Stack training day but I was beat after yard work today. Practiced chipping and putting at The Creek. The practice green is pretty slow but the session went well.
    • Went to the range today and was cursing myself when I got there as I realized I forgot my phone. I added an earlier wrist hinge to the short backswing I was using last time practicing and ball strikes were really good for the most part. I'm heading back to Boston Thursday to see friends and family and have a couple of rounds planned so I'm hoping to keep this feeling.  Yesterday morning I weighed in at 232. My goal had been 230 but maybe now it's 220. I'll have to think about that. I feel so much better without the extra 90 lbs. from 2 years ago. Still a softl slightly less protruding belly so it might be time to go hard on eating better. Work in progress.
    • Day 7- Went to the range and hit a bucket. Also did some chipping and putting.
