Hey guys, just wondering what the difference is between the Taylormade r7 TP models and the r7 models. I am assuming that the TP models have a square or slightly open face while the regular models have a 1 or 2 degree closed face?
Please let me know. Also, if you have personal experience with both than please compare your results.
Is the Superquad generally the longest hitting Taylormade driver at this point in time?

Thanks!

I believe the biggest difference is in the shaft and the amount of weights the club comes with. You can go to www.taylormadegolf.com and it should give you a good idea of the differences.

Driver - Taylormade R9
3 Wood - Titlelist 909F2 15.5 degrees

2H - Nickent

4H - Taylormade
Irons - Mizuno MP-63 5-PW
Wedges - Titlelist 52 and 60 and Cleveland CG-15 56
Putter - Scotty Cameron Stainless Steel NewportBall - Pro V or V1

Dave,

You are correct about the face angle differences between the TP models and non-TP models. You can look on Taylormade's web site and they will show for sure, but I think the TP models are 1 degree open and the non-TP models are 1 degree closed. Draw models are 2 or 2.5 degrees closed.

As far as performance of the Superquad, I don't know. All I've hit is the Burner and it does really blast the ball.
